Still battling a bad spring cold and feeling a bit listless so here is one from a couple of weeks ago, before we had snow again, twice, and lost most of them.

Pflanzen wie Schneeglöckchen und Krokusse haben da ihre Tricks, damit sie zeitig blühen können.

Sie speichern im Vorjahr und über den Winter möglichst viele Nährstoffe in ihren Zwiebeln und legen so einen Vorrat an.

Walking along the canal I saw many of these beautiful flowers. Here crocuses are one of the first flowers to announce the arrival of spring.

Yesterday was a beautiful day walking around the park. I saw the first turtles, frogs and flowers of spring.
