Critters feeding hungry iOS devs at WWDC 2013!

Our pal Janelle invited us over to her farm to meet her dogs, goats, and alpacas! Lovely people; lovely critters.

Saw this little critter running across the living room floor, so I caught him in a glass and brought him outside. Does anyone know what kind of insect this is? I have never seen one before!

Update: The identity of this little critter was revealed in the comments below.

Been drawing this fella in my sketchbook lately..

We watched this grizzly dig into the side of the mountain at Logan's Pass for a good 10 minutes. We were a very safe distance from the bear with little to worry about. Even with a long telephoto the bear was still just a small part of the overall scene, but I liked the scene enough to share. I feel sorry for whatever it was hunting, but since we saw both marmots and squirrels in the area, my bet is it was one of those. I'm just glad it wasn't using it's claws to dig me out of a hole. :-)

The Lion’s Mane Jellyfish is the largest Jellyfish on earth. Typically 8 to 12 inches in width and growing up to 8 feet across, their tentacles can grow up to almost 100 feet. Their stings are typically not fatal and only cause temporary pain and swelling. Amazingly, these animals have no brain, drifting wherever the current takes them. They eat zooplankton, smaller jellies, and small fish. Without any muscles, these animals rely on microscopic stinger cells. Each cell is like a small spear gun loaded with a poison that paralyzes its prey.

A new little critter moved in today! The little frog (for FroggyDuds) is now named Croak. :) She's sitting in the chair with a few dollies that Shannon also made for me. I'm getting quite a collection here!

Polymer clay, cute little nose!

This kitty was confusing. Started mieowing and coming towards me tentatively but as soon as I knelt down with the camera she hissed and backed away to lie down somewhere *just* out of my reach. She has such pretty eyes and her fur was a lovely colour. Shame I didn't get to have a proper go on her, really.

After long time paused (a few years) i start again to sculpt in Zbrush.

Puuuh, what shall i say, have to learn all new again with much patience. Even several software updates didn't make it easier. But i don't know if i ever will rig this critter for a poseable figure. Rigging takes so much time and i ask myself "whatfore". For the moment it's more important for me to learn more of Zbrush and create figures which i can use for digital paintings.
