'Creatures of Habit'
The Beast Of Gevaudan
In the 1760s, an area of south-eastern France was terrorised by an enormous, wolf-like beast. The animal attacked and killed over 70 people, most of which were children, by leaping on them and landing a fatal bite to the throat.
General descriptions of the creature refer to reddish fur with black stripes and a large, long-snouted head with short, pointed ears. Some cases also mention exceptional leaping abilities as well as bullet-proof skin and an alleged ability to stand bipedally.
Both military attempts, led by Captain Jean-Baptiste Duhamel, as well as attempts by a famous wolf hunter named Denneval (under direct employment of King Louis XV) to kill the beast failed.
Although the singular identity of the Beast of Gevaudan has never been 100% determined, many large wolves and even an escaped hyena were killed in the area as suspects of at least some of the attacks.
Late second-century statue of Glykon

Glycon was a snake god, according to the satirist Lucian, who provides the only literary reference to the deity. Lucian claimed Glycon was created in the mid-second century by the Greek prophet Alexander of Abonutichus. Lucian was ill-disposed toward the cult, calling Alexander the “oracle-monger” and accusing the whole enterprise of being a hoax—Glycon himself was supposedly a hand puppet.
Don't touch it. It will sting.
This was a slow shutter speed photo of Christmas lights. Then I added the barbs with photoshop.
Creature Comforts is a gift shop in Disneys Animal Kingdom, situated between Camp MIckey and Africa. I was struck by the whimsical lamps that I has somehow never noticed before (maybe because it's not usually evening hours when I'm there) and couldn't resist getting a shot of them.
St Botolph, Grimston, Norfolk
A big friendly church, set in that curious area between the torpor of the Middlewinch benefice and the mazy lanes of the Sandringham estate. Open every day. Medieval bench ends abound, including curiosities like a mermaid, a man wrapped in his blankets representing sloth, and another man with his feet in the stocks and a stolen pig tied to his back. Loads of interest.
Look closely how many creatures do you see here ? Look at the rocks to the mid-left.
Maybe this will help :)

NOZOMI MIYAZAKI
December 1, 2018
We were the first ones to walk down the beach after the tide went out. About a half mile into our walk, we came across this expansive curious cross-hatch pattern of cast out sand from some kind of community of creatures. It seems they were all "keeping house" after the receding sea. It looks like they came up slinging sand either front to back or side to side, and not in a radial fashion
I dug into a few of them, but found nothing. My guess is sand fleas - little shrimp-like crustaceans. Any guesses? Anyone know the responsible party?

This was such a fun project (again!!) haha ^^
I got to do the face-up and bodyblush of Charles' Creatures Cabinet Fidelia Firefly, and she is so cute. I totally love her. Very tiny, very slender, and it was fun posing her. (ahum it's a lot of pictures I took and uploaden of her *^_^*)
Anyway, enjoy the photos.
There are some weird creatures in this world that a whole lot of people choose not to believe in, even though there have always been documents of these creatures on both paper and canvas... Well, maybe ignorance is bliss, as they say. I hope so for their sakes!
