liz gilbert writes: “creativity is sacred, and it is not sacred. what we make matters enormously, and it doesn’t matter at all. we toil alone, and we are accompanied by spirits. we are terrified, and we are brave. art is a crushing chore and a wonderful privilege. only when we are at our most playful can divinity finally get serious with us. make space for all these paradoxes to be equally true inside your soul and i promise—you can make anything. so please calm down now and get back to work, okay? the treasures that are hidden inside you are hoping you will say yes.”

Sometimes I think I should take up drinking coffee. I wonder if it really helps.

The world-famous Reynisfjara shore, near the village Vik in Myrdalur on Iceland's South Coast, is widely regarded as the most impressive black-sand beach in Iceland… Reynisfjara is a black pebble beach and features an amazing cliff of regular basalt columns resembling a rocky step pyramid, which is called Hálsanef. Out in the sea are the spectacularly shaped basalt sea stacks Reynisdrangar. The area has a rich birdlife, including puffins, fulmars and guillemots. The waves at Reynisfjara are especially strong and unpredictable, and fatal accidents have occurred at this beach, so people are advised to take extra care when visiting the area. According to folklore, two trolls attempted to drag a ship to land but were turned to stone as daylight broke, turning them into the Reynisdrangar stacks, clearly visible from the beach. When I take the camera out, I always feel it is not me composing the shot, it is the mother nature, at her mercy, show off her creativity for me to take a record ...

Thanks everyone for appreciating my work on regular basis. Love you all
Unseen Photo Fair in Amsterdam was a wonderful experience for me. The world of photography has been more extensive than I expected. Emerging talents from all over the world amazed me by their imagination, creativity and craftsmanship; on the other hand, I felt that what photography has achieved was sometimes neglected. In other words, they don't need the realities in front of them now… Anyway, participating in Unseen made me think about what I actually want to do. It's getting more and more difficult and interesting to take/make pictures…
The use of the snoot underwater opens up a wide range of lighting possibilities, leaving the final result to your creativity and technique.
This cheeky little blenny was just poking its head out of its rock shelter, so I was able to isolate it well with the snoot.

The petal of a parrot tulip, dropped off and was caught on the leaf.
Now I love images that are different, and this here truly captured my imagination!
Beyond the obvious!
Love it!
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.
Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.

Creativity comes in many forms. For that I'm glad.

Most of the afternoon I've been sorting through my negs. At some point I really had enough of this tedious task and had an urge of something resembling creativity.

While exploring a beach, about 5 mins from my home, while Peggy & Ted were visiting. A local guy, named Stan, has built these art installations that look like benches and armchairs and a barbecue pit.. They feel comfortable when you sit on them and enjoy the scenery. Best seen large by pressing L or Z.
Enjoy your day and thanks so much for your visits and comments.
