i think of creativity broadly. there are many ways to make art. we all have avenues that express our uniqueness. and that uniqueness is art.
i recently read a book, "the wild braid," about stanley kunitz--about his poetry and gardening. in his words: "[An artist's] work is not an expression of the desire for praise or recognition, or prizes, but the deepest manifestation of your gratitude for the gift of life."
i wholeheartedly agree.
TO LIVE A CREATIVE LIFE, WE MUST LOSE OUR FEAR OF BEING WRONG.

CC Week 36: From on High
I made a necklace, or should I say, I almost finished making a necklace. It has been sitting in a rarely used room for quite some time, literally gathering dust.
More figs! Ever since my figs started living near my computer creativity has gone way up. All of these use recently acquired fig parts.

Sad news this evening. It seemed fitting to dedicate this photo to my Grandmother who passed away.

After swimming with my girlfriend in the sea of Galilee I looked at her, looked at the sun, and said "don't move!" grabbed my X pro 1 and a copy of willow smith's single "whip my hair" waded in waste deep, threw the CD as far as I could out to sea, waited a second to make sure it sank..... and then started taking pictures!
This is my newest little critter. Isn't it cute? Someone said to me that it looks like an Ewok. I bought this kit from Emma's Bears here in Australia and while I am happy with the result, I haven't mastered the face sculpting sadly. It should have perfectly formed chubby cheeks. I need a lot more practice.

We are in complete lockdown until at least the end of August. We have to wear masks at all times and can't venture more than 5 klms from home. I haven't seen the family for over 5 weeks now and who knows when.
