I took this at Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming. The Buffalo are a bit difficult to see as they were a good deal away. We had some impressive clouds that afternoon and the way they were breaking over the mountains looked really awesome!

I captured this crazy clouds a day after new year, it was a day with no colors everything was grey and gloomy.

With a approaching weather system it's not unusual to get these wave clouds or Lenticulars forming in the lee of the Ruahine Ranges as the moister air is forced upwards with the strong westerly flow. It's usually a waiting game if it's near sunset to see if they light up with a bunch of colour but this time it was a whimper. Still makes for some interesting patterns tho...
