OK so I'm being a bit lazy, a few people asked about the colour version when I posted the original black and white sometime ago , I was also too lazy to go out tonight and get some nice evening shots so heres the colour version given some HDR treatment whilst watching Lost (cant get into the new series, yeah Im sad I know :-). There have been some "crazy skies" this September here in Vancouver. I've been trying to capture some of them...through my living room window. I hope to post a few more soon. This is a collage of the sky on the evening of September 9th.

Took this a couple Saturdays ago at the Griffith Observatory. The sunset was amazing and there were quite a few other shutterbug's with their tripods set-up shooting. The majority of them toward the sunset. I took a few shots toward the sunset and then notice the nice golden side-light coming in across Los Angeles and knew I had to run to get a different comp. Luckily not as many people had my brilliant idea and I had much more room to maneuver. I am quite happy with the way this turned out. Enjoy!

Fast Freak Storm Mazatlan Mexico..

We've had about 4 of these very odd sudden strong wind storms blow over us in the last few months, knocking out windows, doors and other minor damage. They are intense and a thrill to watch, but they are really dangerous.

This is a old house on the way to Takaka after you wind your way down all the switchbacks on the Takaka Hill road. It was one of those 'find somewhere to turn around' kind of places to get a shot. Knew there was a image here somehow...even if this is a composite.

A clearing storm system from Tauranga harbour made for some dramatic clouds that evening with plenty of God Rays.

As seen from atop Mount Maunganui looking towards the Kaimais over the inner Tauranga harbour.

Another deep dive into the dark unknowns of the external hard drives...it's a treasure trove i tell ya.

Thunderstorms were fading away just before sunrise, but left some nice clouds and a tiny lightneing bolt or two. Beautiful morning.
