This is the hall closet, and there's a crawlspace in there that's about 20 square feet of storage. It doesn't cost any more that rooms with this floorplan usually do, so that's pretty sweet.

This is like a crawlspace; a kid could crawl around in here comfortably. (It's just off to one side of the ladder.)

Just found these photo's from back in 2011 when I first dug out the LEGO from the crawlspace. This Green Dragon's castle in black base was a blatant copy of another builders epic castle in grey. I had the original builders castle book marked but I can't seem to find it anywhere atm.
Castle and space had been my passions when I was a kid and I started building a little village for my boy but he took a liking to LEGO's CITY theme so all of our efforts have been along that theme for the past while.
Thought someone might enjoy this I've posted it just for fun.
On June 12, 2013, Veterans Green Jobs and GRID Alternatives Colorado, alongside Wells Fargo volunteer teams, provided a series of home improvement upgrades for a Denver couple. Henry (Ray) and Roslyn Navarro received weatherization improvements – including an energy efficient furnace, a water heater, insulation in the attic and crawlspace, CFL lightbulbs throughout the house, carbon monoxide/smoke detectors, and window sealing; solar panels; and exterior painting, landscaping and tree planting. The measures will boost the health, safety, energy efficiency and aesthetics of the 1952 home – as well as reduce the Navarros’ utility bills.
This photo shows a man working on our roof vents, replacing the old plastic ones with new metal ones.
Regular followers will remember that in April we got five inches of rain in one night, and some of that found its way inside our house. Here's the rest of the story:
* I went into the attic (crawlspace, really) and determined that all the leaks were from roof vents.
* Insurance adjuster visited a few days later. He found damage to some shingles, our fence, and the interior (drywall and paint, mostly). But when it came to the roof vents, which I told him were leaking, he said they were not damaged, but simply "not installed correctly", which is weird, because they've been fine for more than six years, and all of a sudden some of them leaked dramatically. But it meant the insurance wouldn't pay for them.
* We got a check from the insurance company for the interior damage, lifted shingles, and fence -- none of which were as important to me as the leaky vents.
* Called a roofing company and set an appointment for an estimate. They called to postpone, saying there were vehicle problems. Then they never showed up or called again.
* Called a second roofing company, which showed up to do an estimate last week. They found damage to half of our 12 roof vents, all of which were plastic and flimsy. The damage was cracks along the upper edge, most likely caused by (1) weak materials and (2) constant exposure to the sun. We agreed to replace all 12 vents with metal ones.
* On Wednesday, May 31, they returned and replaced all 12 vents in the afternoon.

So I am climbing a ladder to go up to the 2nd story in this barn/garage. There is a small space (about 10 inches) between the ceiling and the upper floor. Part of the "ceiling" was taken out, and a garden hose and an old bucket were stored in it. I sat my camera on the ladder, and this is exactly how I saw it. I really loved the color balance.

My friend has this neat little closet in her crawlspace that we like to call "the tornado shelter". Mostly because we locked ourselves in there for a couple hours and made a huge mess of it during a tornado watch... :P
View from the East side of the North Building of the Nunnery Quadrangle (Completed October 907 AD and built by the Ahau (RUler) Lord Chak) of the North and West (Front) Side with Monumental Stairway, Fragmentary Lower Temple and Main Shrine of the Mayan Limestone Temple Pyramid of the Magician (Casa del Adivino), dedicated to the Rain God Chaac (the Toltec Tlaloc). Puuc Classic, built in five stages, 700 AD- 900 AD. 39 m high, with an unusual oval footprint. The Spirals on the Roof Comb of the Main Shrine represent the Mayan Glyph Muyal (Cloud). The Middle Shrine half-way up is covered with repeated stone relief masks of Chaac and lattices (also seen in the form of elaborately-decorated flower-lattices on the facade of the main shrine) representing the windows of Na like those seen in Mayan huts (Na) today, representing the house (Na) where the Maize God was reborn and the First Father and Mother created humans out of maize dough. As with many Mayan Temple Pyramids, the open doorway of the Middle Shrine also represents the gaping mouth of a serpent and the entire facade the god-serpent's face. Unfortunately, the temple is now off-limits to tourists, a typical exasperating consequence of being denoted a UN World Heritage Site. The only satisfaction is that the narrow door at the bottom of the pyramid (to the left) leads to an extremely cramped crawlspace which you can enter to see fragments of Temple I (around 700 AD). Uxmal, Yucatan, Mexico. Originally the entire surface of the temple would have been stuccoed and painted.
Insulated crawl space reduces heating costs as well as preventing moisture problems, insect infestation, and radon infiltration. Green home that is off the grid. Solar power and a rainwater harvesting system supply all the energy and water for this home in Los Angeles, California, USA
Steep stairs into the cold storage room. This presents a challenge getting the sister wall built since all form lumber will need to fit in here! The system design specialist is the first of our expert team to arrive and meet with the homeowners and provide them with a free evaluation & estimate of the work. He takes lots of photos in order to let the production crew know what to expect. As the saying goes: "a picture is worth a thousand words."

Was invited to shoot this very cool birthday surprise! Was a lot of fun, even crawling around in the dusty old crawlspace
Setting the plumbing for the first floor in the crawlspace was very difficult. We cannot raise the new walls because they are 9 ft tall and the roof hasn't been torn off yet. Roof is sitting at 8ft, so cannot build walls. So, I had to meticulously analyze WHERE the new walls are going to be and make a mark where sinks, toilets, etc are going to be. Then bring plumbing up where it is going to be needed
Which do you like better? Color or Monochrome?

Went into the crawlspace earlier and found some of my old toy cars from childhood. This 70's Chevy Blazer (unknown co.) was one of many old toy cars with the same Sheriff/Highway Patrol theme, all of which came from Switzerland in the early 90's.
