White Pelicans at the The Horicon Marsh, Horicon Wisconsin. For the longest time, we have been trying to get white pelican pictures, but they always allude us. Either they are too far out, or they fly over your head when you have your eye in the camera looking down at a duck or something else. Eariler that day, we saw them flying way over head, so all you saw were these little dots of white in the sky. They finally landed, and this was as close as we have ever gotten to them. We spent the 4th of July at the Horicon Marsh in Wisconsin, and we finally got our pelican shots!

The crash scene on Portland Street in central Manchester tonight, showing the aftermath of Stagecoach Manchester Magic Bus 19254 (MX08 GNO) apparently rear-ending hybrid 12229 (SL63 FZK).
Police and ambulance were on the scene, including a significant PCSO presence to deal with resulting traffic congestion.
Initial local media reports quote police as stating that there were no major injuries and no arrests made.

A permanent memorial to the 11 men killed in the Shoreham Air Crash has been completed. A fitting tribute, with each arch bearing design details related to person.
I'm sure the location will feature again in my photostream, as I pass it every day on the way to/from work.
A poor little single decker Stagecoach bus , 34589 , after being crashed into by a car at the bus depot in Northampton .
In 1943 an RAF Bomber from Honeywell crashed at this spot killing all crew, you can just see the wreath marking the spot at the far left of the photograph

The incident occurred around 10.50am on Kennington Road, near the Imperial War Museum, while the number 59 bus was en route to King's Cross.

Okay, so not completely true, but still, we are more influential than we think. The words we say won't destroy our enemies, they will inadvertently destroy our friends. The unrest we take part in will turn into something bigger and more dangerous than we ever suspected. As you can see, we either can be the fireballs that incinerate a society or build it up into a loving environment. So be aware, thoughtful, and selfless. Don't accidentally bring the world to its end.
So, this creation wasn't originally going to be a firestorm, but my previous thing wasn't working well or looking good. So I changed it, and it looked better than I though it would. Unfortunately, the front buildings of the skyline are actually the lamest buildings, they got better as they got further away. Anyway, thanks for looking and God bless!
Heard and then seen while on a recent walk, this Kereru (aka New Zealand Wood Pigeon) sounded like he'd crash-landed into this tree as some of the thinner branches gave way beneath her / him. Even "Alf" looked up...!
And a crash landing is quite possible with Kereru. These birds tend to gorge themselves on the ripe fruit currently growing on many NZ native trees and either become very full, or (Believe it or not) intoxicated...!

Built for New Elementary's 'Mind that Banana' contest.
Mostly using the new banana recolours from the chrysanthemum set, I thought they suited the shape and colour for Crash's head and hair too well not to build the rest.
As the head and face is the main focus I spent most of the time there. Getting an expressive face was satisfying but difficult when working with the banana curves, especially the mouth/jaw. Turns out Crash's anatomy is weirder than you'd think.
After that, the rest came together quite quickly. Using the 2x2 orange elbow tubes for the body I opted for an implied yellow chest to keep the area clean. Actually really happy with how the gloves and shoes turned out too.
Modified copy Raskolnikov's of Plus Size AT-AT crashed in snow base. Still a little finishing off to do.
"We were attacked. Me and some others managed to escape in the pods but we were again hit. I jumped out into the ocean and found my crashed pod. Now a wreck of molten steel the Coolant canisters had burst and thus added more water to the ocean. Carver out."

Horrific car crash at Yarralumla, Canberra, on Alexandrina Drive 9/9/2020. It looks like a car traveling from the west ran off the road, through an Armco barrier, and crashed into the drain between the footpath bridge and the road. A Fire Brigade officer told me there had been an ambulance earlier that "took someone away". The car was obviously totaled, and I believe that hazmat operators were trying to stop oil/petrol/coolant getting into Lake Burley Griffin using a floating barrier. 2 shot hand-held panorama.
