Jacques Cousteau named the Sea of Cortez "The aquarium of the world" for good reason; it is an awesome place with high chances of cool aquatic encounters like these. Nobody knows for sure why these mobulas jump, but a spectacle it is! The BBC series EarthFlight included a nice scene of them as well:

Often referred to as the Galapagos of Mexico, Islas Marietas is one of the most visited in the state of Nayarit. The Marietas are composed of three islands and are rocky, rugged islands.

After a massive international outcry, started by scientist Jacques Cousteau in the late 1960s, the government eventually decided to declare the islands a national park and therefore protected against any fishing, hunting or human activity.

The Museum of Philippe Cousteau Anchors rises as watchman on the peninsula of La Peñona, a promontory of nature surrounded by sea on one end of the beach in Salinas, a town located in the City of Castrillon (Principality of Asturias .)

This museum is designed as an outdoor monument, which highlights the beauty of the anchors, along with the Temple of the Ocean, or the bust of Philippe Cousteau, provide an added interest to a "Peñona" who always had a mythical character for castrillonenses.

It is an original creation continued to pay tribute of love to the sea and its people, all the culture it represents.

The very name chosen for the name of the museum, is the synthesis of vital origin and universality with Philippe Cousteau himself referred to sea.

The Brotherhood of the Sea Good Food when he decided to create this museum, thought that Philippe Cousteau, son of the great oceanographer Jacques I.

Cousteau could be who represent youth by his example and dedication to the sea until the last breath of his life, that eternal tribute to the sea and its people.

It is a unique museum is the open and anyone can access it at any time, their "doors" are always open for your visit.

A gorgeous day by the seafront, and I was playing about with the Voigltander 21mm @ close-up ranges to my Son playing in the sea. The more I play with this lens, the more I realise how much I love this lens, and to understand how to use it in relevant situation lets you unlock it's potential! Love the lens!

See that little sink and mirror in the back right? - that's where I saw the ghosts who directed me to the cemetery where I found Rosie, her sisters, mommy dog, and her brother.

First a cup jumped off the top of the water jar on the left - when I could not duplicate it physically by jumping up and down on the wood floors, or waving my hands and arms around, I looked into the mirror and asked if anyone was present.

Then I saw swirling energies of beings stuck in the cemetery - later while doing the "get out of the cemetery free" prayers, I found Rosie there and brought her to this hotel - she was a starving bloated puppy - we stayed one night and moved to San Bruno, before I caught all the pups and their mom in the cemetery over a period of days, with the aid of a man who worked here.

The sea, the great unifier, is man's only hope. Now, as never before, the old phrase has a literal meaning: we are all in the same boat. Jacques Yves Cousteau

The fishing boat Jacana leaving the harbour of Guilvinec in Brittany. Guilvinec has the largest ocean-going fleet in all of France (130 boats), and when the boats return at around 5:30 pm, it is a real spectacle to watch the fresh catch being unloaded. Then you go into the fish halls and buy seafood that is still wriggling.

Jacques Cousteau, the French undersea researcher, is shown addressing members of the press on his experiences during an Antarctic expedition with the oceanographic ship, Calypso. The Calypso used satellite communication and weather equipment provided by NASA to test the accuracy of satellite observations in relation to the ship's surface observations. Calypso used satellite observation information to navigate into safe waters after getting hit by an iceberg. Cousteau was born in Saint-Andre-de-Cubzac, France on June 11, 1910. He died on June 25, 1997, after contributing various books and hundreds of documents on the chartless realms that make up the planet's oceans. In 1956, with the help of Calypso and her crew, Cousteau received an Academy award for his undersea documentary, The Silent World, and cemented his position as one of the world's most famous marine biologists.
