I'm not sure if there's any link between the French marine biologist and the town. If anyone knows, I'd be interested!

"The sea, the great unifier, is man's only hope. Now, as never before, the old phrase has a literal meaning: we are all in the same boat."

Prawn trawler Calypso at Cabbage Tree Creek, Shorncliffe, Brisbane. Calypso will be waiting to sell you fresh seafood nearly every morning straight off the boat.

Thanks to Musixmatch, the words of the great song by John Denver. Calypso was the vessel used by the other great - oceanographer, Jacques Cousteau.

"To sail on a dream on a crystal clear ocean

To ride on the crest of a wild raging storm

To work in the service of life and the living

In search of the answers to questions unknown

To be part of the movement and part of the growing

Part of beginning to understand

Aye, Calypso, the places you've been to

The things that you've shown us

The stories you tell

Aye, Calypso, I sing to your spirit

The men who have served you

So long and so well

Olole iiiii, ololo ululululu

Olole iiii, ololo uu

Like the dolphin who guides you

You bring us beside you

To light up the darkness and show us the way

For though we are strangers in your silent world

To live on the land, we must learn from the sea

To be true as the tide

And free as the wind-swell

Joyful and loving in letting it be

Aye, Calypso, the places you've been to

The things that you've shown us

The stories you tell

Aye, Calypso, I sing to your spirit

The men who have served you

So long and so well

It is not the man who must fight against a hostile nature, but it is the defenseless nature that from generations is a victim of humanity.

As you noticed maybe our clima changed a little bit.

So the first animals who will be affected with the global warming are under the water surface.

A shame, because nobody sees them dying.
