Titus 1:15 says, "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled."
I figured this image reflects that verse pretty well. I wanted to do something different but still a Christian message -- something warning against getting caught up in sin. I basically drew a pair of headphones with snakes coming out of the ears, as a way of expressing how one's mind can be polluted if one isn't focused on God. I guess music could pollute one's mind if one listens to music that is negative as well as secular and discouraging. So if one is defiled as a result of doing wordly things and living in sin, nothing is pure to them. It's as if the snakes -- which represent Satan -- have taken over a person. If one continues to pollute his or her mind, he or she will continue to become defiled, possibly to the point of rejecting God.

The FIT team arrives on site for the first shift of the Extreme Home Makeover project. The task of the first shift was to prepare the site and foundation so that masonry work could begin the following morning. The Game of Life was invented by Dr. John Conway, and is one of the simplest examples of what is sometimes called "emergent complexity" or "self-organizing systems." Life isn't a game in the traditional sense of the word. It's a grid filled with cells, either dead or alive. Some simple rules determines the state of a cell. The rules that rule the universe of "Life" are as follow:
- A dead cell with exactly three live neighbors becomes a live cell (birth).
- A live cell with two or three live neighbors stays alive (survival).
- In all other cases, a cell dies or remains dead (overcrowding or loneliness).

There was a group of Japanese travelling around Trafalgar Sq. with quirky umbrellas last month. Japanese they have the quirkiest ideas - from packaging to applications.
Newspapers had a nice run and all but it appears that they're time of delivering news to the world is almost over. The concept of actually reading the news simply can't compete with hot female news anchors reading it to us and nobody thinks Garfield is funny anymore. And seriously ... who uses coupons?

I got this in Amersterdam in a gay bookstore when I went to visit in 1997. I also got the kissing dutch boys for my friends Dan and Doug.
The pop art portrait I did that I got back in my art class recently. Basically we got to do a portrait of whoever we wanted and I chose one of my favorite actors. I chose to use five different tones of the color red as well. I did the best I could on this and you probably can't seem 'em, but there are a lot of brush strokes on this. Got a passing grade, though.
