The Future Hearts Tour

Taken by Jake Lahah.

... or, as a friend of mine, Jason, a.k.a. "Dug Graves", called her - the "white goddess"

Never got around to seeing her in the feature film, but I remember watching random episodes of "Elvira's Movie Macabre", and I even caught her appearance (with the wig and makeup, but not the awesome dress ^_^;) in an episode of "CHiPs"

I'm kind of envious of Uncle John... ^_^;

The Future Hearts Tour

May 24th, 2015

Taken by Jake Lahah.

Out of the three films, the first was my favorite, of course. It was also my first non-anime DVD, and one of a couple I bought before I had a DVD player of my own. I think Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery was the very first DVD I bought. (My sis had a computer with a DVD-ROM drive when she lived in San Jose in the mid 1990s - I would visit her often. ^_^;)

Anyway - Yeah, Baby! When I slim down, I hope I don't look too old to try my hand at cosplaying as him. I've already got the crooked teeth, but can I master his Mojo? Crikey!! ^_^;

Recreate the atmosphere of the coolest clubs! This kit allows you to deconstruct all the classic drinks with a molecular touch :)

Feathers from a friend's farm; tail from Fish and Game.

Our friend and neighbor Maryann had a birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Maryann! I'm very glad you were born!

Maryann is my next door neighbor's mom, and the mom to the neighborhood, people and animals alike. Her husband Ben, built our house back in the 70's. He's about 93 or so now. The entire family is very artistic and creative. Our neighbor is a graphic artist.

Maryann likes collecting beautiful and interesting things, but she's not one of those out of control people. Most of what she has is from garage sales, etc. and she enjoys getting a bargain.

I like the way she has displayed these shells standing at different angles. It's a very Florida collection. =o)

Hugs and thanks for viewing!

So basically about a year ago I took my old Alien Workshop skateboard deck and started to paint on it. I was gonna finish it with a friend, but that didn't happen. I ended up finishing it myself recently and I had fun with it. I figured that the cross could be the center of it and the colors around it represent different ethnicities and communities that live by the teachings presented in Christianity. Underneath the cross, I cited Matthew 16:24-25, which says, "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." I feel that passage encompasses anyone who decided to follow Christ, not matter what their social or economic status is or what their heritage is. Since the body of Christ is diverse, it includes people from all areas in life, which I figured would be worth representing in artwork. The tobyMac album Welcome to Diverse City comes to mind as well. You can kinda see the original graphics of the skateboard deck that I didn't paint over if you look closely.

For all the construction going on in New York City ( a lot in my neighborhood of Astoria) every now and then you see a monument to economic woes. This structure has been an empty shell for year now. Looks kinda cool.
