This week's Monday Macros theme is "Eye"
Must've been fate when I just happened to find this 'lil guy outside today. This is just a single image shot of a common Horsefly using the Rotolight Neo2 for illumination.
Macros are real fun when the subject strikes your fancy.
One of these days I'm going to attempt extensive image stacking just to see what I can accomplish.
Thank Y'all for taking a look !
Happy Macro Monday my friends.
Sometimes it just depends on how you look at something. For instance can you guess what this is? I left a nearly empty water bottle in my car and the moisture inside of it froze. Fun stuff everywhere if you look around. :)
Stoneybatter, historically known as Bohernaglogh, now one of the coolest places to live, the "hipster quarter " of Dublin.
Welcome to Stoneybatter, just a .....stones thrown from the City Centre.
Some festive cheer & proud of themselves, a number 37 hybrid bus ( very hipster ) heads towards Wilton Terrace.

Prior to the Falcons/Rams football game, the Falcons Drum Line entertained folks at Falcons Landing, where pre-game festivities take place.
These folks are good and they energized the crowd with their well-rehearsed rapid-fire drumming!
Of course, while enjoying the beats, I had to snap some shots.
Bonus: After they finished, I thanked the fellow (JJ) who's drum was the focal point of many of my shots and he thanked us by handing my son one of his extra sticks. I'll be a fan of the Falcons Drum Line 4 ever now!
EXPLORE (Dec 28, 2008) - my first!!!
In the middle of the three cameras is a Kodak Jiffy Six-16. The two cameras on either side are both an Ansco Viking 6.3; the difference between them is that the one on the left is US-made and has an Anastigmat lens, whereas the one on the right was made in Germany and features an Agfa lens. The bad news is that the one on the left and the one in the middle don't operate and need significant repair. It's a good thing that both eBay sellers accept returns. (I only buy from sellers who offer returns.)
Ah, yes...finally we get to the good news. The camera on the right seems to be in good condition. I've yet to test it with film but I'm confident that it will perform well.
Sure, it's only stuff and one can always get stuff. Still, this is REALLY COOLstuff. I just don't see me on my deathbed saying, "Ya know, I wish I hadn't bought so many cameras..."
**Update**
I decided to keep both of the non-functioning units. They need a good home!

Hey, story. Last night I was all bored and started writing my short story for creative writing. In the process, I drew the deathly hallows symbol on my arm in dark pen several times over. I decided to wash it off with hand sanitizer, and it literally make the coolest effect. This doesn't really show it, but yeah. Check it, h0llllla.
I found this one time last month in one of the Bars here, during lunch time........
Is a display item of Heineken, a cylindrical type of glass, the effects is actually an electric going thru the bottle, a trick i myself is amazed!

Take a bow, the night is over
This masquerade is getting older
Lights are low, the curtains down
There's no one here
Say your lines but do you feel them
Do you mean what you say when there's no one around
Watching you, watching me, one lonely star

I suppose this was not much fine tuning to this one.
Probably not two-zone setup with a micro allergenic filter either.
It was most likely pretty much free inflight for bugs and such.
Dizzy and cool, but still inside your car.
Unrefined exhaust fumes right in your face, but cool fumes.
Chilled by freon or something else that only people with a strong death-wish would appreciate today.
But what do I know..? If anyone knows about this beautiful piece of Americana, please enlighten me.
Doing my best to get photoshop to be a painter or me to be a painter. I have always like thinking that I could paint. But I find real paint just takes to long for me to do. I think this is some how music for the eyes. I have been working on a few new things in photoshop this week. Im trying to get past all the rules I have in my mind and just let go. I don't like thinking Im a photographer but a artist that uses a camera and computer as a brush. Hope a few of you will let me know if this is fun for you to look over. I had a blast making this one. I like all the small parts and colors. Have fun.

Designed and folded February 2013. Each model folded from a hexagonal sheet of glassine.
Here is a colored picture of my latest Fibonacci Wave design! The reason the light blue wave looks so different is that the glassine is semi-transparent, so you can see through the majority of the layers. Using transparent paper to fold the wave makes it easier to see the fractal nature of the design.
I have always been fascinated by the Fibonacci sequence, fractals, and waves, so after stumbling upon a picture of the Fibonacci rose tile, I knew I had to design an origami version of my own!
What I find so interesting about this design is that the sizes of the equilateral triangles that make up each wave follow the Fibonacci number sequence-- allowing them to interlock seamlessly. The wave molecules can also be connected and tessellated, so check back soon for more pictures of that!
To find out more about the Fibonacci sequence, I highly recommend watching this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahXIMUkSXX0
If there is enough interest in this design, I would certainly consider releasing the CP or creating diagrams! Please let me know what you think! All comments are greatly appreciated! :D
What goes up must come down
Spinnin' wheel got to go 'round
Talkin' 'bout your troubles it's a cryin' sin
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin' wheel spin
You got no money and you got no home
Spinnin' wheel all alone
Talkin' 'bout your troubles and you never learn
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin' wheel turn
Did you find the directing sign on the
Straight and narrow highway
Would you mind a reflecting sign
Just let it shine within your mind
And show you the colors that are real
Someone is waiting just for you
Spinnin' wheel, spinnin' true
