No not really. This is Mrs Mails Kosta Boda vase.
This has not been mirrored in Photoshop. It was sitting on a glass table top, and I have just coloured is slightly and cropped it. Of course I have turned it 90deg or it would have fallen off the table. Don't ask me why because I don't know.

On sunday, the sun warmed up the bricks and I had too cool it with water to avoid a too high dilatation (it was raining on saturday).
General description : For the Fana'briques 2013 exhibition, we have propose to the young (and not so young) public to build a giant mosaic representing the ruin of the Andlau castle with the Spesbourg castle in the background which are located into the Vosges Mountains in France.
The mosaic correspond to 512 times 256 studs square built using 512 16x16 studs square baseplate and someting like 50000 bricks.
The baseplates are fixed on the magnetic stand using magnets glued onto the back of the baseplate. This was particularly appreciated by the young builders who had the possibility to add themself the baseplate they have build.
The stand in made with 4 panels (2.06 meters high and 1.03 meters wide) making an angle of 22.5 degrees between two successive panels giving more relief to the mosaic.
Finally, the mosaic includes two kind of resolutions : a low resolution using 2x2 bricks for the forest and a high resolution using 1x1 bricks for the two castles.

Summer is the time for swimming! My kids, pictured here, (and us as parents) love a lazy Holiday afternoon getting wet in my nephew's pool.
Since it snows a ton here and pools freeze, there aren't a lot of outdoor pools to be found, unlike I had growing up in So Cal. It was definitely a beautiful day to catch some sunshine and cool off!
The Advanced Protein Characterization Facility, located in Bldg. 441, was built to LEED Gold specifications with several sustainable features including this "cool" roof. The white reflective material helps deflect summer heat from the building, increasing energy efficiency.
On Friday, February 7, 2014, high school and middle school students dashed into the icy Atlantic as part of Special Olympics Virginia’s largest fundraiser: The Polar Plunge and the Cool School Challenge.
“Raising one million dollars for the fourth year in a row is incredible,” said Rick Jeffrey, Special Olympics Virginia president. “More importantly, though, these funds will help us to build bigger, better, more inclusive communities across the state of Virginia.”
In addition to the money raised, they got to take the icy dip into the Atlantic, all while earning a Friday “pass” from school, earn community service credit, Costume contests – prizes for best dressed male and female, prizes for teacher or team sponsor, and freezing photos.
