Testing out the Canon 70-200mm f4 L non stabilized lens mounted on the Sony A7 II, which gives it stabilization when used with a Commlite adapter. Cropped a little and monochromed in Lightroom. @f8.
The lens is known for its sharpness and focusing on the A7 is easy with the focus assist magnification feature. (A/F hunts a bit with the adapter.)
Neighbors cat asking to come in out of the cold. I let her in :-)
Breezy airports
Generally, I find planes and airports to be frigid places. The air movement is a good thing (especially in times of COVID), but requires extra layers. You won’t find me traveling with much exposed skin.
I’m dressed for cool travel. The airport, plane, and San Diego were chilly. My number one travel accessory is a scarf. My larger ones double as a lightweight blanket. This, small one was perfect to keep my naked neck warm.

Cooling in the shade while enjoying the lotus pond he did not notice my camera as I passed by.
A fan is a great invention.
This is a macro shot of the cooling fins of an old 16mb AGP computer video card taken with light shining from behind it with a Canon 60mm USM Macro lens. Type L for a better view.

Met some really nice people while vacationing. Cal was gracious enough to pose for me. Although, I don't think he would be too willing again any time soon. LOL
We get really nice natural light in the condo we rented in Mexico.
Every visit to Japan I try to patronize a small clothing shop in the Sendai city shopping arcade - esquire.ocnk.net/ - that stocks unusual and unique jeans designed, if not made, in Japan.
Another Twin mom and dad from this afternoon. They were just so happy and filled with excitement over their babies, I left with a huge smile on my face.
They're waiting on the birth to find out boys/girls or boy & girl!

Good morning everyone :)
Happy Friday! ... as the weather has totally cooled down here, I thought that sharing this collection might be appropriate. You can find the link to it {plus detailed links to each shop & prices} right here, where I shared some thoughts on the subject of "Staying in - the new going out", the original title of this treasury recently curated [more treasuries here & there]. You are always welcome & invited to join in if you wish!
For those of you who' d like to know, I'm currently involved in the designing process of our soon to be new home {not a piece of cake, I assure you, as the space has off course its advantages but quite a few shortcomings, too}, while also sorting out & packing our things & preparing/ planning our movement.
It's a good chance to review some past approaches to life & I'm seeing that more and more, having less & less things attracts me.
I prefer to sort things out, keep the ones that are really needed, functional and definitely aesthetically pleasing / while totally matching the home's "outfit", than over stuff a place with storage for things of no use.
So, you have noticed that I'm rarely here, paying visits is also only but an exception for the time being. I'm looking forward to a few weeks from now, having settled in, and for the first time then, saying that I'll devote all the time that I wish, strolling through flickr and spending time with you!
Much love ♥ best of wishes,
Iro - Ivy xx
