Summer is harsh in this side of the world! With temperatures reaching upto 44 C, it is tough to pass the summer afternoon. While most of the natural water sources dry up in the Gir forest, the forest department fills these artificial water points to help the wildlife cool down!
This cool little Oscar Meyer wienermobile replica was spotted at (appropriately enough) Lil' Smokies BBQ in Iuka, While I wasn't particularly impressed with the BBQ myself (a little on the dry side), the place has gotten plenty of glowing online reviews. Like the BBQ or not, the service and side dishes we had were really good, and it isn't nowhere near as dark inside the place as this photo would make it appear!

One girl lifts another's hair off her neck in Boston's Chinatown subway station. That big fan is meant to move the air around on the sweltering platform and provide something of a breeze.

The weather has sure changed in the last week. The rest of Canada seems to be hit with snow but we are still experiencing mild weather. This is about the coolest we've experienced on the coast in some time.
This image has been desaturated and given kind of an arctic twilight treatment to it. Our coast hardly ever looks like this, but had some fun with the colour channels.
