I changed some unused contacts a little bit, now there's an XGN contact and a GRP contact. All old wires with eyes on both ends were replaced with new cloth wire. The capacitor and resistor were added in parallel with the motor up contacts to help preserve the life of the contacts with arcing.

The two panels for all the buttons are sewn on; this was the trickiest bit to work out a pattern for.
The remote XBee is connected and the received values are valid, so the system switches to "running" mode and displays the contol values being sent to the motor controllers (-255 to 255 with zero being "off"). I need to add a deadband to the code to prevent motor creep from small values around the "center stick" position.
