I've not taken shots from my balcony in some time...

This is from Sunday.

A small plane leaves contrails in the blue sky above Hagg Lake, Oregon.

Taken August 14, 2008 at Vista Point near Crockett, CA.

Evolution of the STS-118 noctilucent contrail, taken on the evening of August 8, 2007, from the north side of the Pineda Causeway, overlooking the Banana River with southern Merritt Island in the distance.

Alaska is the Air Crossroads of the world.

Probably one of the most photographed buildings in the southern hemisphere, maybe even the world. I tried for a slightly different take here. The contrail showed up conveniently to give me a composition.

Airplane contrails in the sky, one airplane made a turn before landing in Beldringe airport nearby, now known as H.C. Andersen Airport.

A busy morning of contrails still visibe due to the light winds.

These contrails were photographed at approx 15:35 on Tuesday 29th June 2010. They appear to tight to be civil aircraft. The location of these contrails was above Mossely. However these appear very close to the flight path into Manchester Airport.

Can anyone say what aircraft caused them?

Put a contrail, blue sky, mountain beloved of physicists, and a bit of landscape into a shot, what do you get?

Everyone has one of these, but I really liked how this came out.

Contrail over a tree-covered hill in Yubari in May of 2017.

aka Condensation trails, some people call them chemtrails, but that's just a funny conspiracy theory..

One of my first shots with the new Nikon P7000. I have still to work myself through the instructions but it´s an easy camera to start with.

I happen to think they are relevant elements in compositional photography.

Chemtrail V. Contrail:

Contrail = short, non-persistent trail caused by the formation of ice crystals in the "wake" caused by a passing jet...

CHEMtrail = thick, sometimes greasy-looking "cloud" caused by a spray from a jet, frequently military jets, containing a thick chemical soup

Just as I was taking flower photos this morning, I looked up and a plane was passing overhead leaving fresh contrails. Wonder where it is going .
