Before the disappeared from site the bottom contrail go really dark.

Flying in Nevada we passed overtop some traffic as we were at 38,000Ft. Not a great shot but I thought I should post it.

I can’t remember where I was, but the light was getting interesting.

Took these with my son's DSi a few months back. Had to tinker with noise reduction and all that fun stuff. The point of the photos is not the quality, but the content. I like contrails.

Meandering over Evergreen, CA

It seems that conditions today were ideal for producing long lasting contrails. They spread out and formed an interesting crisscross pattern in front of the sun. Some lower diffuse clouds superimposed a parhelion, while the high cumulonimbus dissipated in the cooling evening air. It was a neat sight.

I've never seen four contrails so close together. The planes causing them were out of sight.
