There were tons of contrails in the sky tonight. Very strange.

Airplane contrails in the sky...

Clear skies throughout a cooler than average spring day. At sunset there were a few high clouds and contrails around to add some variety to the sky. Other than a few rain events it has been relatively quiet in terms of active weather; but from experience that can change in a hurry.

I can't go anywhere without seeing these things.

This was a Boeing 777 approaching London. I first saw the contrail when it was over Swindon

This one stretched as far as the eye could see.

Airplane contrails spreading out in the sky, massive CO2 pollution high up in the atmosphere.

If planes had big bubble windows, then flying might be cool. It would've been good to get a shot of the contrails trailng off behind into the sunset.

The setting sun lights up the clouds and a lone contrail over Chicago.

The setting sun warmed the reflection of this aircraft contrail to a brilliant pink, and the water gave it an appealing wiggle.
