Airplane contrails spreading out in the sky, massive CO2 pollution high up in the atmosphere.

If planes had big bubble windows, then flying might be cool. It would've been good to get a shot of the contrails trailng off behind into the sunset.

A great contrail on a spring day

Airplane contrails in the sky...

The setting sun warmed the reflection of this aircraft contrail to a brilliant pink, and the water gave it an appealing wiggle.

Just how many planes have crossed the skies here?

Airplane contrails in the sky, one airplane made a turn before landing in Beldringe airport nearby, now known as H.C. Andersen Airport.

This was a Boeing 777 approaching London. I first saw the contrail when it was over Swindon

looks like lots of people jetting off all over this morning, creating a lovely crisscross pattern across our sky, add to that a lovely lingering sunrise.

Evolution of the STS-118 noctilucent contrail, taken on the evening of August 8, 2007, from the north side of the Pineda Causeway, overlooking the Banana River with southern Merritt Island in the distance.

I took this for IOWAPILOT. Two crossing plane contrails directly above the Ames Airport. It was getting dark, so I had to get my f1.8 lens out. Taken around 9:30 PM handheld. Those are stars, not hot pixels ;)

Makes me wonder where all of those people were going...
