When I stepped out of the House this Morning I was amazed at what I saw.
There where at least 14 Contrails streaking across the Sky as the Sun rose, it was awesome.
I live very close to the Red River Gorge and it's been on fire since Friday.
I think that might have attributed to the awesome sort of 3-D effect that the Contrails took on.
No, there's been no Photo Shopping of this Photo, this is what it looked like.
One of the most surreal & beautiful scenes I've ever witnessed - "Nature" & "Man" joining forces to create an Artist's visual delight -Appearing out of nowhere, a distant contrail traveling from east to west, blazes a luminous trail that effortlessly penetrates & marks the early evening sky - Looking like the remnants of a projectile, it pierces right through the sparse & fragile picturesque amber & gray cloud cover as if slicing a deliberate pathway in an unrelenting quest to reach it's final destination - One contrail, one evening, one fleeting & spectacular moment captured in time -
First roll through my Kiev 4, with a somewhat scratched Jupiter-8 lens. No hood, as sort of a worst-case scenario.
The internal selenium meter seems to be in good working order. Unfortunately I'm still having trouble with the shutter uncapping and blowing out frames. Many shots on the roll were ruined by light leaks. Back to the workbench, I guess.
Thers are many jet aircraft that need to fly over Adelaide (S.A.) on any given day and occsionally if the weather conditions are suitable,then the contrails or chemtrails can last some time.Most fly overhead without any notice due to cloud or general street noise.As most domestic and international flights are at 35/40,000 feet it is just part of life and no big deal.
Apparently changes to the air navigation act some years ago has brought about this phenomenon
