Continuous rain ruined my plans to get out and take pictures over the weekend. Had to do something within the confines of my house.
This is a view from my window with Christmas lights bokeh.
I sorta feel bad right now for not putting much effort into the picture (and being a day late).
Part of my own personal work at home.

Positive Thinking And Effective Marketing Go Hand in Hand Successful sales and effective marketing needs persistence, continuous improvement and an expectation there will be a positive outcome. If you don’t believe in your success and approach every aspect of marketing with enthusiasm, creativity and a positive attitude, it would be like taking part in a yacht race with no wind to help you along. This means you have no momentum or direction, leaving your competition free to overtake you. Attitude has a deceptive way of infiltrating everything we do. It can take us to great heights or drag us down to the depths of failure. It can energize us to do everything at the right time, or it can affect our motivation and cause us to sabotage all of the great plans we have made. The truth is that we either own our attitude or our attitude owns us. It’s occasionally necessary to take charge of our thoughts, attitudes, and habits. Effort without focus, whether it involves marketing or any other kind of business, is almost certain to produce poor results. Effective Marketing Is Not Served With Negative Thinking. The impact of negative thoughts can infect your mind creating a cascading effect of self-destructive actions and beliefs. In direct sales, we need a winning attitude and a magnetic personality to influence people to become customers. That, however, is only the tip of the iceberg because a successful salesperson needs the finesse and people skills to regain lost customers, negotiate the best deal as well as ask for and get sales referrals. They also need to inspire teamwork and have the energy and optimism to overcome setbacks and keep moving forward despite of any “temporary” failure. If you don’t have a positive mental attitude, that is unlikely to happen. Developing a positive attitude encourages the creativity and optimism necessary for nearly every aspect of marketing. This ranges from sending out press releases and sales letters to placing ads or launching a web site and dealing with people. You need to believe it’s going to work, or it could be you won’t try at all—or your efforts will be half-hearted and weak at best. Either way, you are likely to be doomed to failure before you get started. Alternatively, if you make up your mind to be the ‘eternal optimist’, you’ll be able to take calculated risks and put your best foot forward. This might involve an integrated program of reading motivational books, listening to self-improvement audios, taking some time and effort to identify and avoid (or filter out) a lot of the negativity present in your environment. This will help you to establish daily habits that will attract beneficial people and circumstances into your life. Running your own business and being an entrepreneur can be risky sometimes. If an expensive marketing campaign falls down or you lose a major client to the competition, you could be scrambling to make up for the loss. Despite the negativity of that, keeping a positive state of mind helps you be creative, resourceful, and energized and also enhances your ability to anticipate, adapt, and regroup. Effective marketing needs that positive thinking to help you to counteract the negativity and move forward. Even though certain aspects of marketing are considered by some to be a gamble, the best way to deal with anything is by adopting a focused, optimistic, and positive mental attitude. Within their continuous environmental campaigns to clean up the Lebanese coast, the Environmental Scouts Organization in Lebanon and the charity association of Mohammad Shoaib organized a clean-up campaign for Al-Naimeh beach in the south of Beirut. Al-Ataa Scout Regiment (Badawi), members of the charity Association of Mohammad Shoaib as well as students of the schools’ area and municipal workers participated in the campaign also.
The campaign was launched in the presence of members of the two organizations as well as the mayor of Al-Naimeh and members of the Municipal Council. The campaign was launched by the spread of the participants on the beach, collecting wastes, sorting them and then sending them for being recycled under the supervision of the municipality.
Finally the campaign was ended by a lecture to the participants about the marine life in Lebanon and the risks that are threatening them and the need to work in order to protect them. The lecture also assured the importance of sorting wastes and the need to dispense the use of plastic bags (nylon) and try to use environmentally friendly alternatives which is the cause of significant damage to nature, and in particular their danger affecting the lives of sea turtles.
The campaign was characterized by a mood of fun and vitality conferred by the presence of scouts’ songs and unique games that left the nice effect on the participants.
Foundries producing medium to very large volumes of castings on high-speed molding lines demand large volumes of prepared sand and maximum productivity from the sand plant. The Simpson Multi-Mull is specifically designed to provide medium to very large volumes of high-quality molding sand on a continuous basis and utilizes the same effective mulling technique as the Simpson Mix-Muller.
After 60 years of continuous use, an extensive rehabilitation of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Headquarters is finally complete. Renovation of this landmark mid-century modern design has brought this iconic 146,000 SF building into the 21st Century while artfully addressing the concerns of the preservation community.
In 1958 we designed this building for a young utility and were commissioned in 2014 to renovate the entire facility inside and out. A carefully considered addition allows for greatly increased daylighting and access to views. A central enclosed stair and mechanical shaft was replaced with a large open stair for enhanced vertical circulation and transparency between wings. Open offices were completely updated to include different types of conferencing, meeting and break areas with modern furniture and finishes. Open office areas were completely modernized to address the needs of SMUD’s multi-generational workforce while incorporating the original concept of an over-arching five-foot grid.
Also included in this renovation were site and landscape improvements designed to historically maintain significant features of the 13-acre site and artist Wayne Thiebaud’s mosaic tile mural “Water City,” was carefully cleaned and preserved.
The SMUD Headquarters is on the National Register of Historic Places and the rehabilitation was designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.

Café Procope (Est. 1686) - in rue de l'Ancienne Comédie, 6th arrondissement, called the oldest café of Paris in almost continuous operation and the oldest coffeehouse of the world. Founded by Procopio dei Coltelli, and the most famous center of the intellectual establishment, literary cachet and philosophic community in 18th and 19th century Paris . It was frequented by La Fontaine, Voltaire, Benjamin Franklin, Danton, Marat, Robespierre, Napoleon Bonaparte, Balzac, Victor Hugo, Gambetta, Verlaine, Alfred de Musset, George Sand, Gustave Planche, Pierre Leroux, Anatole France and Mikael Printz.
It's the birthplace of the Encyclopédie by the hand of the Encyclopédistes and during the Revolution, the Phrygian cap, soon to be the symbol of Liberty, was first displayed at Café Procope. In the 1860s, it's where the Conférence Molé held its meetings. In 1988-89, the Café Procope was refurbished in an 18th-century style. It received Pompeian red walls, crystal chandeliers, 18th-century oval portraits of famous people who had been patrons, and a tinkly piano. The waiters dressed in quasi-revolutionary uniforms.

Cour du Commerce Saint-André - a beautiful authentic passage of 120 meters in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. The facades with unique signboards on either side, windows of the buildings, the three entrances and glass roof that covers part of this open-air passage are all historical monuments. It is one of the few streets in Paris that still has original "old Paris" cobblestones before Haussmann modernized the city.
It has a very rich history, among the famous signs of the court are Le Procope, the oldest café in Paris, founded in 1684, as well as the Relais Odéon. At number 4 the remains of the enclosure of Philippe Auguste are visible in a store. At number 2 a plaque recalls that Sainte-Beuve lived there from 1831 to 1841. At number 8, Marat had established the editorial office and the printing press of L’Ami du Peuple. At the same time, at number 9, at the carpenter's house Schmidt, Joseph Joseph Ignace Guillotin lived, who then tested his guillotine there on sheep. At number 20: Georges Jacques Danton moved in August 1787 to this address7. This building disappeared during the extension of Boulevard Saint-Germain.
The Porte Saint-Germain was located there. The Commerce-Saint-André courtyard gives access to the Rohan courtyard..
