Ldst.-I.-Ers.-Btl. Dillenburg (XVIII. 41)

This is an amazing photo! Not only is it a cool head shot but the unit is clearly identifiable. The soldier is wearing a helmet from Hesse. The only problem is that the city is not in Hesse. This continues the constant amazement at the head gear of the units from Hesse. This picture will be incorporated shortly into the article:

1978 Ferrari 400 Automatic

Chassis No. 24297

At the 1976 Paris Auto Salon, Ferrari introduced the new 400 2+2, its replacement for the 365 GT4 2+2. Featuring distinctively angular styling by Pininfarina, the 400 continued to provide luxurious and spacious high-speed transportation for up to four passengers. Produced in 400 and 412 variants from 1976 until 1989, just 2,383 examples of this limited-production series were built. With its handsome bodywork and high performance levels, the 400 has recently attracted the attention of astute Ferrari collectors and enthusiasts and they are widely regarded as very capable grand touring machines.

24297: Finished in desirable black paint over tan hides, this immaculate one-owner, 19k mile example benefits from a lifetime of proper maintenance and knowledgeable ownership.

A top notch candidate for any preservation class, this car presents superbly inside and out. The original black finish stills displays a deep glossy shine, while all rubbers remain supple and dry-rot free. The clean cabin features dual A/C climate zones - front and rear, a beautiful wood veneered console, and supple two-tone upholstery. The Ferrari remains highly original, as great effort has been put forth to preserve its charm. Original registration card and paperwork accompany the car, along with Instruction Book, dusting cloth, both sets of keys, emergency roadside kit with roll, jack and spare!

Complemented by a set of correct five-spoke magnesium wheels and Michelin tires, this elegant, yet very sporty 400 is certain to offer the thrilling driving experience that only a Ferrari can deliver.

1. We continue to lose our way, and the importance of legend and primal truth become lost within the storm of human nature.

Too often We search for deeper meaning. Too often this is only our futile hope that the surface is only a part of the story and the true meaning is somehow hidden within its subatomic surface of memory. There are some areas of thought and land that mean exactly what they are trying to convey. It feels terribly empty and sad. Is nothing sacred any more?

2. Eternal recurrence - a finite number of events infinitely recurring again and again in infinite time, like games of chess, that, played one after another forever, eventually will repeat any game ever played.

The world is an eternal process of coming to be and passing away, where origin and end of the process seem to become fleeting vanishing points.

When there is no final point, no destination, eventually every combination of matter and energy will be realized and repeated an infinite number of times....

We are riding the Dunwich Dynamo - a challenging free-entry overnight 120 mile bicycle ride on-tarmac from London Fields in Hackney, London to the Suffolk beach at Dunwich. We will return to London via the organised coach/trucking. My riding partner is my brother-in-law.

It’s not a race. It’s unsupported. There’s no van following. It’s a long way. It starts at around 20:00 tonight. It's quite an adventure.

Continuing with Inuyasha, we have Kitsune Kid as Kagome Higurashi! I haven't worked with her in a super long time, so it was great to have the chance to do so again.

Continuing the theme started by Mike Sherman. This is me in 1982, proudly standing next to my first car, a Vauxhall Viva. The foot well had it's own, built in foot spa, courtesy of a leak in the door! Long hair was trendy in those days, honest. I was 18 here and pure girl bait, or that's what I thought! Ha Ha.

The CFS exhibit hall continues to expand as new technologies are put on display. #NATCACFS2019 features many current modernization programs with a presence in the exhibit hall, and in most cases, the exhibits are staffed by our NATCA Article 114 Reps and their FAA program management counterparts. We strongly encourage all CFS attendees to take the time to walk through our exhibit hall and spend some time conversing with our Reps, program managers, and sponsors about some of the current and upcoming technologies that will impact everyone’s careers. www.natca.org/index.php/cfs-spon-exhib

Star Trek Continues is the BEST online Star Trek series ever made; it's won awards. Mignogna writes/produces/makes props/costumes AND stars (he plays Capt. Kirk). Michele Specht, his girlfriend, costars as ship's counselor Dr. Elise McKenna; she is just pure energy! They're terrific people.

In 1609, Galileo improved the newly invented telescope, turned it toward the heavens, and revolutionized our view of the universe. In celebration of the 400th anniversary of this milestone, 2009 has been designated as the International Year of Astronomy.

Today, NASA's Great Observatories are continuing Galileo's legacy with stunning images and breakthrough science from the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, and the Chandra X-ray Observatory.

While Galileo observed the sky using visible light seen by the human eye, technology now allows us to observe in many wavelengths, including Spitzer's infrared view and Chandra's view in X-rays. Each wavelength region shows different aspects of celestial objects and often reveals new objects that could not otherwise be studied.

This image of the spiral galaxy Messier 101 is a composite of views from Spitzer, Hubble, and Chandra.

The red color shows Spitzer's view in infrared light. It highlights the heat emitted by dust lanes in the galaxy where stars can form.

The yellow color is Hubble's view in visible light. Most of this light comes from stars, and they trace the same spiral structure as the dust lanes.

The blue color shows Chandra's view in X-ray light. Sources of X-rays include million-degree gas, exploded stars, and material colliding around black holes.

Such composite images allow astronomers to see how features seen in one wavelength match up with those seen in another wavelength. It's like seeing with a camera, night vision goggles, and X-ray vision all at once.

In the four centuries since Galileo, astronomy has changed dramatically. Yet our curiosity and quest for knowledge remain the same. So, too, does our wonder at the splendor of the universe.

The International Year of Astronomy Great Observatories Image Unveiling is supported by the NASA Science Mission Directorate Astrophysics Division. The project is a collaboration between the Space Telescope Science Institute, the Spitzer Science Center, and the Chandra X-ray Center.
