British Consulate General Away Day 2009-- preparing and delivering meals for the elderly with City Meals on Wheels.
In light of the great importance of the Hanseatic League in the histories of Visby and Gotland, it's entirely appropriate that there should be a German consulate here.
I pulled these stills off the video I shot at the peace rally Saturday in front of the American Consulate in Toronto. There was a large and diverse crowd of people who disagree with Harper's support of U.S. Imperialist objectives in the Middle East.
When I attended a protest of the Kent State massacre at the same location way back in the 60's, the opposition to the Vietnam War was no stronger than the mood Saturday. It seems that THEY WILL NEVER LEARN until they start a 3rd World War.

Most of New York's foreign embassies and consulates are in stately buildings on the east side, in the neighborhood of the United Nations. Presumably operating on a tighter budget, The Republic of Guyana has installed their consulate operations on the same street as my office, in a facility that resembles a hastily-constructed DMV.
