Переулками переходим на Новорязанскую улицу. Но прежде чем свернуть на нее, остановимся в 1-м Басманном переулке. Там можно посмотреть целый жилой квартал в стиле конструктивизм. Время постройки — конец 20-х — начало 30-х годов, архитектор неизвестен.

Вот так оформлен вход в один из корпусов. Конструктивисты любили не только ленточные окна, но и маленькие круглые — их могли размещать при входе, как здесь, или же на чердаке здания.
Тот самый институт, для которого был построен комплекс жилых домов. Это здание строилось в 1929-1930 гг. по проекту архитекторов Л. Мейльмана, В. Мовчана и Г. Мовчана.
