Constructivism was a post-World War I outgrowth of Russian Futurism, generally considered to have been initiated in 1913 with the abstract geometric constructions of Vladimir Tatlin.

Amador Rodriguez ( Ceuta 1926 - Madrid 2001 ) is a Spanish sculptor and painter. He used a wide variety of materials in his creations (marble, iron, bronze, wood, pebbles, brass...) depending on the message the work had to convey. In his earliest expressionist works, the human figure is central. Later his work became abstract and tended towards constructivism. After research into the dematerialisation of elementary geometrical bodies using iron as a material, from the 1970s onwards he carried out research based on mathematical principles that pursued formal essence and numerical perfection, resulting in sculptures, mainly in stone.

Amador Rodriguez ( Ceuta 1926 – Madrid 2001 ) is een Spaans beeldhouwer en schilder. Hij gebruikt een grote verscheidenheid aan materialen in zijn creaties (marmer, ijzer, brons, hout, kiezelstenen, messing...) afhankelijk van de boodschap die met het werk moet worden overgebracht. In zijn vroegste expressionistische werken staat de menselijke figuur centraal. Later werd zijn werk abstract en neigde het naar het constructivisme. Na onderzoek naar de dematerialisatie van elementaire geometrische lichamen met ijzer als materiaal, deed hij vanaf de jaren ’70 op wiskundige principes gebaseerd onderzoek dat formele essentie en numerieke perfectie nastreefde, met als resultaat beeldhouwwerken, vooral in steen.

Amador Rodriguez (Ceuta 1926 - Madrid 2001) est un sculpteur et peintre espagnol. Il utilisait une grande variété de matériaux dans ses créations (marbre, fer, bronze, bois, cailloux, laiton...) en fonction du message que l'œuvre devait transmettre. Dans ses premières œuvres expressionnistes, la figure humaine est centrale. Plus tard, son travail devient abstrait et tend vers le constructivisme. Après des recherches sur la dématérialisation des corps géométriques élémentaires en utilisant le fer comme matériau, il mène à partir des années 1970 des recherches basées sur des principes mathématiques qui poursuivent l'essence formelle et la perfection numérique, donnant lieu à des sculptures, principalement en pierre.
