The cottage is surrounded by other cottages and only accessible by a private pathway. It's one of the oldest surviving cottages in this part of the village, would love to see round it.

Construction Works, Cross River Rail Albert Street Station Site, Albert Street, Brisbane

Strolling through the tourist areas, I found that the park connecting the Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque is undergoing heavy reconstruction. It was funny to see how every tourist tried to avoid getting this truck in their pictures. I thought it was a nice touch to capture the contrast.

New building going up in front of the Marine Society building near Waterloo.

  

Nederland, Zuid-Holland, Gemeente Dirksland, 10-06-2015; Haringvliet met Haringvlietsluizen en Haringvlietdam. Zesde werk van de Deltawerken, verbindt met de N57 Voorne-Putten en Goeree-Overflakkee. In het kader van modern natuurbeheer ('getemd getij') gaan de sluizen tegenwoordig bij eb en vloed beperkt open om de getijden hun enigszins terug te laten komen in het estuarium.

Dam and sluices between islands Voorne-Putten en Goeree-Overflakkee. The sluices are for draining water coming from the rivers Rhine and Maas (Meuse) from the natural bassin to the North sea. Modern ecological insight has led to opening the sluices semi-permanently, resulting in the estuary function of the Haringvliet patially being restored.

During constructionworks in our appartment the workers found this newspaper, which was an organ of the labour union, in the wall beside the windows. It is from 1964, when the last windows were installed.. Great materials they used for filling space between wall and window, to protect the inhabitants of wind and rain...
