New construction in Mexico City: The entry ramps to the parking of another bank tower going up on Paseo de la Reforma.
Deputy Mayor Monica Kurzejeski and Troy Commissioner of Planning and Economic Development Steven Strichman visited 444 River Street to observe progress on renovations. The historic rehabilitation project will transform the 100,000 square foot former Marvin Neitzel Corporation warehouse into the 444 River Lofts, adding 74 new residential units, including a mix of affordable and market rate apartments. January 10, 2019.
Take a rest while everyone else are working :)
The other workers are welding iron frame that will be part of concrete pillar when mixed with cement.
Work in progress at the former Co-op supermarket at 12-24 Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, Essex. A pity that Marks and Spencer seem to have downsized theirs plans here by only using half of the old supermarket to convert to a food hall. They are going to sell off the other half.
Allegedly due to open in Spring 2016.
Rayleigh town centre is very much in need of a medium sized supermarket in my opinion.

A third preliminary cover design for my current novel-in-progress, Port Aero, now titled Just to the Right of Disneyland. Another tagline could be "If you build it, they will queue." The story follows an influential theme-park designer as he develops a park with an airport theme. It's also about the polarity of liberalism and conservatism in the US. The novel is set in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. I'm currently working on chapter 22.

One of the things I got to do during my very busy day today was pop over for a site visit to the new building work.
It's nice to see how things are developing and to allay a few concerns I had about the sizes of some things.
This, once complete, will be a corridor full of History and Geography classrooms. This is ripe for a before and after shot!
works at the port of Karlovasi, Samos, Greece. I was there shooting some sequences of the works with a friend when I saw that worker observing this huge claw..

I live off Henrietta street in Dublin 1 and for the last seven years [or even longer] the area has been a huge building site and the pace of change is increasing by the day. I recently read in the Irish Times that they have counted 109 tower cranes in the City Centre ["There were 109 cranes visible over the centre of Dublin on January 1st from the seventh floor of The Irish Times building on Tara Street"].
Many of the cranes are close to my apartment. On Upper Dominick, alone, there are currently two large Student Accommodation Complexes under construction and within walking distance there are many such complexes and hotels under construction. The Green Line Tram Network extension has had a huge impact on the area as has the Grangegorman College Campus project.
