In 2002, the peaceful field and hedge grown over the Bedford-Hitchin railway line, slashed in the Beeching Cuts, at the back of our married quarter in Borton Avenue at RAF Henlow, was torn up and building of houses commenced. Our peace was gone.
The large grey shed is part of RAF Henlow.
New primitive trail construction began in Greenville on Monday, July 27, 2020. The first phase of new 1.3 mile pathway will extend the existing River Park North trail eastward along the north side of the Tar River; later phases will include connecting the trail to new park land located on the eastern side of Greenville Blvd just north of the river via boardwalk and additional primitive trails.

My company is building a second building on the empty lot behind our office. When I left work mid-afternoon Monday, there was nothing to show for the building project but a lot of dirtwork and some poured footings. After only two days away I drove into the parking lot Thursday morning and was greeted by an elevator shaft. (The photo above is the completed shaft as it looked by the time I left work Thursday night.)

This one is a bit smaller because I had not figured a few editing processes in photoshop and had to crop it.
I was taking some photos of an old house in Mississauga tonight and turned around to see the sun setting over a construction site. I played around with the zoom a bit and decided to put a few of the photos together in a collage.
A rockslide on August 28, 2023 resulting in approximately 3,000 cubic metres of materials has closed highway 97 between Callan Road and Okanagan Lake Provincial Park north of Summerland.
Geotechnical engineers continue to monitor and asses data from sensors at the slide site.
Contractors have built a large lock-wall to protect the highway from falling rock. Crews are now working to build 150-metre berm between the wall and the bottom of the slope. Once the berm is complete, the far lane from the slope can be safely reopened for traffic.
While the highway is closed, alternate routes are available via highways 97C, 5A or 33.

Dark Knight Construction continued into the 2008 season, with pieces of track and themeing still to be installed.
This photo was taken on the 63rd floor of the Hyatt, the highest hotel in the world in Jin Mao Tower, Pudong, Shanghai. The building in construction will be higher than Jin Mao Tower (421m). It the new World Financial Center (WFC) and a Kohn Pederson Fox (KPF) design.
Pedestrian bridge construction at Shafer and W Franklin St for the Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships coming in two weeks.
Gav and Grum were so impressed with the new oval that they spent a few hours sitting in the dark next to it drinking beer. The view from the oval towards the city at night is marvellous.
