Construction begins at The Lorton Reformatory. Buildings will be adapted and repurposed for residential and commercial use to create Liberty–a modern and vibrant community hub in the heart of Lorton, Virginia. Liberty is located 25 miles from Washington, D.C. and 35 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia.

This is a remodeling project under construction by Brock Builders. We are general contractors in Asheville.
Construction continues on the new headquarters building, part of the Central Campus in the industrial area at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In view is the round steel framing for an awning. The new seven-story, 200,000-square-foot facility will house about 500 NASA civil service and contractor employees. The building will be more energy efficient than the current Headquarters building and will feature the latest in office and administrative building technology to fulfill Kennedy's role as the premiere spaceport for NASA and, increasingly, commercial entities. A local news cameraman was filming the construction of the future Olga's Diner during my photo shoot.
This mall has been undergoing construction on-and-off for at least 5 years. I just wish they'd finish it already because it's going to be impressive when it's done.

Construction site across the street. Mostly they seem to be moving dirt around, although they are filling in holes on the right side of the screen (out of shot, blocked from my window...) Presumably in a few days they'll start digging out for the inevitable condo parking.
Most of video is at 2 seconds per frame, but I switched it to 1 second per frame near the end, so you might notice it gets a bit slower around the 47 second mark.
It was partly cloudy, which is really good for getting cloud shots, but for shots like this the variance in the light levels mean that some of this video is too dark and some is overexposed (since for time lapse the camera needs to be set on fixed manual settings...)

Students work on exterior trimming during a free 8-week home construction class offered by the City of Greenville and the North Carolina Homebuilders Association. The training will provide students with valuable skills that can open doors for work in the construction industry.
The home construction class will be offered again in the spring (2023).

This is the construction site of the new Audimax building of RWTH Aachen University. Scheduled to be finished in time for the winter semester 2013/2014, its opening date has already been pushed back.
