After conquering the summit of Glorieta Pass, the eastbound Southwest Chief cruises downgrade as they roll past the control point at East Glorieta.

A revisit of a very old build. Definitely a more accurate model in terms of shaping and scale, really happy with the hull and the turret isn’t too bad in my opinion. I was really happy with how the double angle turned out on the front glacis. The suspension was kind of daunting but I think I was able to get a lot of detail and good spacing for the wheels. Really wanted to get more of the turret details but not including them helped keep the shaping consistent. Hopefully I can continue doing some bigger projects, might revisit the e-100 and actually finish it lol, we shall see.

Right, I said, "Conquer your fears" and blame no one if you think you were stacked on a centrifuge..

I'll just leave mine as it is.

In the Middle Ages there were several population movements due to a significant demographic increase and the desire to conquer new land to cultivate and possess. It is within this context that the Walser migration took place. This German-speaking ethnic group from the northern areas of Valais, from which the origin of the Walser name, left their native settlements to move gradually and extremely peacefully towards the Alps and the area of Grisons, Liechtenstein, Vorarlberg and Tyrol. Evidence of the first settlements of this population in Valsesia date back to the beginning of the 13th notably in Rimella, Rima and Alagna.

The community, made up of shepherds, settled in cottages scattered along side the mountain and with hard work they transformed woodlands into productive pastures. The soil was turned over and even the highest slopes were cultivated and aqueducts for the retrieval of water thaw were also built.

This new form of economy created new grounds for personal freedom and community autonomy, unusual for a time when taxes and servitude were part of everyday life.

Their houses were examples of extraordinary architecture, which are still considered as engineering masterpieces, studied and structured in minute detail in order to gain maximum functionality because of the harsh environmental conditions. Normally arranged on three storeys, there is a stone basement, generally dry, with an upper area made out of wood and divided according to the use. The sloping roof is made out of local stone slabs, whose noteworthy weight is supported by a brilliant structure of roof beams.

Candidate for photography assignment.

After the first couple of setup shots, I thought for sure this was a photo that wasn't going to happen... but things started to fall in place gradually.

This might be one of the most confined shots I've done yet, at least regarding a human in the shot. From the camera lens to the television set it's only about 5 feet. It was cramped and very, very warm in this room.

I probably shouldn't have left the bottom corners so dark. But to be honest... I just want to go to bed, so I don't really care all that much.

Lighting Info

- SB600 at 24mm zoom and 1/32 power level. Gelled with 1/2 CTB and positioned between the TV and me, pointed at my face.

- SB600 at 85mm zoom and 1/16 power level. Gelled with full CTO and lying on the top of the television set, pointed at the back corner.

- TV... just happened to have a commercial come on which had a flash of light on it. So, I paused it and used at as the "video game", which prevented me from having to actually hook my XBox up.

This land has now been conquered by the Viking Queen

They surrendered pretty quickly

Just a few casualties

It is called EvaVisionLand or short EvaVision

There is one rule

And that is following your intuition

Otherwise everything is allowed

Just being in the flow

Doing exactly what you want - all the time

As long as you know that you are in intuition mode

Sounds good doesn't it

EvaRomance will be the normal state of mind for everybody entering this land

Giving and receiving love and respect will be the normal way to behave

Sigh

I think I will conquer the rest of the world too

I wonder if you are ready

And I of course don't need to use force - you guys will surrender pretty easily

I just know that for sure

Paulo Coelho speaks of "personal legend." Jesus teaches on "light" conquering darkness. Maybe, what we are searching for is just "Around The Corner."
