Gansbaai coast, may 2022. It is interesting to look how some plants in areas with enough floor and no light competition spread in horizontal direction. I could not identify this plant so I would love to know some more if there is someone could give me some light about!
In a wicked display of smoke and sound, MRL #4400 emerges out of the west portal of Bozeman Tunnel after successfully scaling the pass. The current tunnel was completed by the Northern Pacific in 1945, replacing the original 1884 bore.
For quite a few years this bird, a Common Yellowthroat, was my nemesis bird. I saw the occasional few but had never gotten a picture of one. Between two outings in the last month or so, I have been able to capture a few half decent shots, plus saw more this day at the marsh than ever before!

The Commando Statue at Lochaber in Scotland. “United we conquer” is the motto on the monument.
The three Commandos look out across the landscape at Ben Nevis range, which is taking a bit of a weather beating from the advance of Storm Aiden.
The statue was opened by the Queen Mother back in 1952 and was made by Scottish Sculpture Scott Sutherland, who had won the competition to design a fitting statue to commemorate the men of the Commando Regiment in 1949.

CP 6236, an ex-SOO SD60, and a KCS GP38-2 accelerate through the control point at East Lake while enroute to Chicagoland with CPKC 254. It was quite a surprise to wake up to the heads up of standard cabs on a road freight in 2024, but I guess cool things are still possible.
A true medieval and gothic gem in the city of Segovia, its Alcazar.
The first reference to this castle was in 1120, around 32 years after the city of Segovia was conquered by the Christians.
As a curiosity: The castle's silhouette and overall appearance also inspired the castle in Disney's 1937 animated classic, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves".
If you ever come to Spain, don´t forget to visit Segovia, a marvelous historic city well know for its rich gastronomy and for its architectural landmarks (The Alcázar, El Acueducto and The Cathedral).
The city center was declared of World Heritage by UNESCO in 1985.

La primera referencia a este castillo data de 1120, unos 32 años después de la conquista de la ciudad de Segovia por los cristianos.
Como curiosidad: la silueta del castillo y su apariencia general también inspiraron el castillo en el clásico animado de Disney de 1937, "Blancanieves y los Siete Enanitos".
Si alguna vez vienes a España, no dejes de visitar Segovia, una maravillosa ciudad histórica conocida por su rica gastronomía y por sus monumentos arquitectónicos (El Alcázar, El Acueducto y La Catedral).

A revisit of a very old build. Definitely a more accurate model in terms of shaping and scale, really happy with the hull and the turret isn’t too bad in my opinion. I was really happy with how the double angle turned out on the front glacis. The suspension was kind of daunting but I think I was able to get a lot of detail and good spacing for the wheels. Really wanted to get more of the turret details but not including them helped keep the shaping consistent. Hopefully I can continue doing some bigger projects, might revisit the e-100 and actually finish it lol, we shall see.
