A paint spill outside a Home Depot store took on this mysterious spiral shape.The spiral was connected to a large paint splotch of irregular outline, with no clue as to why it trailed off and made the spiral, or how.

This pic shows how the pair was connected primarily at the pelvic area. The parasitic twin only had half its head and face, divided almost exactly on the midline with the formed half having one eye, one ear and one nostril. Its mouth also ended mid-face and as such couldn't open. Presumably it only had half its skull and brain as well, Its body was pretty much collapsed and bent sharply in half laterally at about a 60 degree angle. It was able to respond to stimuli and moved its head and limbs often. One of their rear legs was fused with each of the twins having some control over its movement. They each had a tail but shared one cloacal opening. The pair lived suspended from the rubber band which was attached to a tiny pontoon float. This arrangement allowed the normal twin relatively free swimming activity at the water's surface and kept them both from drowning. They weren't able to swim unassisted as the parasite was too heavy.. The normal twin spent most of its time chasing guppies around their tank, sleeping and basking. The parasite seemingly had no breathing capabilities and lived its entire life suspended upside down completly underwater while his "ride" behaved much like a normal RES. The normal twin provided total life support for them both. They lived for over one year, doubling in size, before acutely succumbing to unknown complications.
