There's just something about finding feathers.
Something symbolic.
Something that pulls me into a moment.
Holds me weightless.
Air and wind wrap around me.
Stripping my mind of yesterday.
Pulling string and strand of anything that hurt.
Suspended.
A bird diving, only to soar.
Brushing belly against mountain and sky.
As far away from sound... as its wings will carry.
Aren't we all, these days?

Yesterday, I finally found some time to go out with my camera. I went for a walk around the harbour front. There was just the perfect amount of clouds in the sky, and enough wind to make them move - but it was really, really cold. At one point, when I was about to screw on the ND filter, I almost dropped it because I couldn't feel my fingers anymore; that's how cold it was!
(Someone bring me a camera with Liveview).
