The event which took place from 14-16 October attracting a record breaking attendance of 30,000 visitors; representing over 110 countries throughout the world.
What a gorgeous day at The Texas Renaissance Festival! Nice weather, massive crowd (41,000+), photo ops everywhere. This was the All Hallows Eve themed weekend so there were a lot of cool costumes to shoot. Thanks to all the people that posed for me - what a blast!

Gibson prewar tenor banjo style 00 neck + tab Grover tuners
Gibson prewar tenor banjo neck in very nice condition. Style 00. Heel cut for one piece flange. Includes a working set of Grover 2 tab banjo tuners and original truss rod cover. Neck is very nice Frets still have life although it does show signs of use.
Length from nut to end of neck: 15 3/16", 3/16" of wood beyond the last fret.

CUSTOM CONVERSION 5 String banjo neck in a GIBSON STYLE 00. UNKNOWN MAKER.
Appears new but it was pulled from an existing banjo. My guess is recently made. Has a simple satin finish and correct coloration for a 00 banjo. Frets appear NEW AND UNUSED. Gibson logo is stenciled on headstock as per original prewar style 00 banjos. The neck has a thicker feel to it, like late 60s banjos and would probably suit a person with larger hands.
While nice and completely functional, with working truss rod, it is a much simpler style with a simpler finish and not nearly as much polish around the edges. That being said, it fits perfectly with the simpler entry level style of the original Prewar Style 00 banjos and makes a QUICK, EASY and completely functional conversion to your tenor. Neck was pulled from an existing banjo that played very easily, no fret problems and even with the simple brass hoop in the banjo, instead of a heavier tonering, the banjo had a lot of pop. The orange area in the middle of the neck shows the wood to be highly flamed and of excellent quality. Headstock holes drilled for modern planetary style tuners (5 Star tuners were installed). Please inquire about a $25 discount.

One of the cleanest Gibson prewar style 00 rims I've seen. Has the wood bead at the top of the rim...no need for brass hoop. Appears unadulterated and finish is very beautiful. This is designed to accept the classic One Piece Flange and no... this is not the ultra rare thick rim version. It is the common thin rim version and COULD be cut down to properly accept an ARCHTOP tonering or a select few flathead tonerings including the Sullivan conversion tonering or the Blaylock or Hatfield tonerings specifically made to fit these rims. Please inquire about a $25 discount on this classic Gibson rim.

The T brackets did not fit properly, so I included a set of prewar rim hardware including 3 brackets, 6 screws and 3 thumbscrews.

Description: Here is a truly magnificent Vintage c.1950 Alfredo Barbini Murano Italy Venetian Aventurine Sommerso Art Glass Fish Sculpture. Hand blown in Murano Italy by master craftsman Alfredo Barbini c.1950. This blown sculpture was created into a glass masterpiece. The piece emphasizes the optical qualities unique to glass. This fine mid-century expression is marked with original Murano label. This stunning sculpture and its whimsical shape are definitely right for the period. A slender shaped Sommerso Aventurine body with a uniquely styled Aventurine twisted pedestal base. The main body of this piece is a beautiful Sommerso Aventurine design which is basically the art of casing different colored glasses inside of each other. Here we have a beautiful gold inside a crisp crystal clear Venetian glass. Two Fish are featured suspended in the body of the mail sculpture. Very impressive.

Information:
Alfredo Barbini perfected the art of vetro sommerso (submersion), thick glass obtained by overlapping different colored layers. He set up his own glass factory in 1950, where he continues to work as designer. He was born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the twentieth century. His parents were members of families which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
Career
Barbini began his long career in 1925 at the age of 13, working in the S.A.I.A.R. Ferro Toso factory. In 1929 he joined Cristalleria di Venezia e Murano as a master glassblower. He left that firm in 1932 for employment with a glass workshop in Milan, but returned to Murano to work first at the newly-formed Zecchin & Martinuzzi firm and then with Seguso Vetri d'Arte. From 1936 to 1944 he was a partner and master glassblower at Societa Anonima Vetri Artistici Murano, known as S.A.V.A.M.Following World War II Barbini worked as master glassblower and designer successively with Archimede Seguso and Napoleone Martinuzzi, then became a partner with Vetreria Vistosi and, later, Gino Cenedese. With financial assistance from the firm of Salviati & C., for whom he produced products, he formed in 1950 his own glass firm, Vetreria Alfredo Barbini (reorganized in 1983 as Alfredo Barbini Srl). His firm exhibited his work at the Venice Biennales from 1950 to 1968.
Awards
Among numerous other honors, Barbini was awarded the "Osella d'Oro" by Venice's Associazione degli Industriale and the honorary title "Commendatore" and was named "1989 Venetian of the Year" by the Settimare Association.

Trust is an underlying condition for the EU Digital Single Market and without a credible cybersecurity strategy, there will be no trust. In February 2013, the Commission published a cybersecurity strategy alongside a proposed Directive on network and information security (NIS). The latter is currently in trialogue negotiations. The next trialogue is foreseen for June 9. The discussions have revealed a great lack of mutual trust between Member States, which prevents them from cooperating and thus protecting Europeans.
The hearing will serve to raise public awareness about the current situation in the EU and make stakeholders face up to their responsibilities. It will also assess the cybersecurity part of the Digital Single Market Act published on May 6 which announced the establishment of a public-private Partnership on cybersecurity and a review of the e-privacy Directive.
MEP Antanas Guoga - as ALDE shadow rapporteur of the NIS directive - has invited government representatives and EU officials to take stock of the progress made with the Directive, but also look ahead and come up with some new solutions.
The hearing will take a holistic approach and address cybersecurity in all its dimensions with the involvement of Members coming from five different parliamentary Committees (Gérard Deprez, Kaja Kallas, Hilde Vautmans, Sophie in't Veld) giving the floor to businesses and academics.
