I am visiting this store again, but the store is in a much different condition from when I saw this store back in 2024.
This store officially closed on February 19, 2026, but I decided to go back and see it one last time. This Safeway was the last store in the state to have this decor from the 90's, after another Safeway which I visit last year in Pinole shuttered. The cool thing is since the store is closing, there is no shame snapping a bunch of pics of the store with my phone since I certainly would not be the only person doing so during it's closing sales. I tried to get some angles and extra shots that I didn't get in 2024.
Based on recounts of this location, this is one of the last Safeway's that ever got this decor, since I learned that it had the Safeway Marketplace interior until at least 2001/2002. This Safeway has always been a weird store, since it obviously has never been remodeled to Pre-Lifestyle or Lifestyle, or even got any new Safeway signage after it's logo change, but it would get improvements such as self-checkout and the up-to-date produce displays. It's also interesting that it wasn't remodeled to Pre-Lifestyle instead of this decor for when it was remodeled.
Whether another grocery store will fill it's place, if it becomes just another fitness club, furniture store, or discount store, or if it just sits empty for decades is still up in the air.
So we had a couple of days with the temperatures reaching mid seventies, too hot for us. We are rescued once again by beautiful clean cool fog rolling over the western hills. Photo taken @70 mph from car on I-280. Beth was driving.

This is our original condition, special edition Pearl white and Black Yamaha AS1C from 1968. This bike was only available for a short while as a limited edition. We have managed to find one in original condition that has only been driven about 4000km!
There are a few small marks here and there but on the whole, the bike is in amazing condition.

Had a conditioner at Trims Aberdeen, hair washed, conditioner massaged in, twenty minutes under the dryer with a plastic cap on, hair rinsed at the back wash, ten minutes back under the dryer.
Wore a lilac gown, took a Woman magazine with me. Was asked as settled under the dryer if I wanted a magazine, oh you have already got one said the hairdresser, glancing at the magazine that had been sat on my lap throughout the wash and massage.

Set off 8 am on Sunday morning to explore an old abandoned summer camp but about 8 shots in, we were chased off the property by an angry man with a beard and riding lawnmower.
Our fearless leader whipped out a Plan B and lead us down the road about 10 mins to an abandoned house exploding with colour and bad wallpaper. All was redeemed, great shots were got and the four of us were on the road home with an entire afternoon open to new possibilities! (I used mine to nap)

Condition: Tank has dent on top; paint is cracked and has some chips. Seat has been repaired. The front fork seals are leaking. Rear Fender has a crack underneath the seat. The front number plate is not original for the year. Tank decals are not original for the year.
Mechanical: The bike starts right up and runs great. The engine has good compression.
Original Parts: Everything on this bike is original other than tank decal, front number plate and grips.
Comments: I believe this is a low hour bike due to the overall condition.
The bike was originally sold by Maico West out of Burbank, CA. I have the title in hand and exporting this bike should not be a problem.
This bike is not pristine. However, it is in very good original/stock condition. This is the perfect candidate for vintage racing or can be restored back to showroom condition with minimal effort.

Trust is an underlying condition for the EU Digital Single Market and without a credible cybersecurity strategy, there will be no trust. In February 2013, the Commission published a cybersecurity strategy alongside a proposed Directive on network and information security (NIS). The latter is currently in trialogue negotiations. The next trialogue is foreseen for June 9. The discussions have revealed a great lack of mutual trust between Member States, which prevents them from cooperating and thus protecting Europeans.
The hearing will serve to raise public awareness about the current situation in the EU and make stakeholders face up to their responsibilities. It will also assess the cybersecurity part of the Digital Single Market Act published on May 6 which announced the establishment of a public-private Partnership on cybersecurity and a review of the e-privacy Directive.
MEP Antanas Guoga - as ALDE shadow rapporteur of the NIS directive - has invited government representatives and EU officials to take stock of the progress made with the Directive, but also look ahead and come up with some new solutions.
The hearing will take a holistic approach and address cybersecurity in all its dimensions with the involvement of Members coming from five different parliamentary Committees (Gérard Deprez, Kaja Kallas, Hilde Vautmans, Sophie in't Veld) giving the floor to businesses and academics.
