Nuk ka as perjetesi.

E megjithate,

se per ç'flet valle kjo poezi,

"I'm terrified of seeing the beautiful darkside win..."
The other day, my friend Alyssa and I were discussing our frustration with our lack of time for shooting conceptual photos these days. With client work, multiple jobs and countless other responsibilities seeming to creep into our creative time, it's hard to find a few hours to plan, set up, shoot, and edit a conceptual photo. Determined to challenge ourselves, we created the "Photographers Challenge" - each month, I'll choose a theme for Alyssa and she will do the same for me. The theme can be anything: song lyrics, a color, an image, a word, a concept... anything at all!
The theme she chose for me, for the month of January was "The Beautiful Darkside" (Inspired by the song from The Classic Crime.)
I mulled the concept over for a LONG time and after one failed attempt (we got rained out) and one cancelled shoot, I finally shot this tonight. The circle of light keeps out the wild, but the fear is still prevalent. Some of the battles we seem most incapable of fighting are the wars within ourselves.
I know this shot looks a bit textured out, but rest assured, not a single texture was used in the editing - it's all the natural walls of a very, very old coal room!

Special thanks to my sister, Michelle, for once again being such an INCREDIBLE model!

'We had a long period of heavy rain between Sep and Nov 2015. The best was to become connected with it, creating weird megalomaniacal fantasies."
I gesti dicono poco; le parole un pò di più; la musica tutto.

Please don't ask me what this is about. Definitely not a movie/book title though, in case anyone was wondering. ;-)

The idea of my photo series is to show how when you are a swimmer, the sport is always on your mind. Swimming is a very stressful and time consuming sport, it can often seem like even when you are not in the water, you are still thinking about it. Often even after practice it is hard to stop thinking about the next competition or practice or workout, as is the case with many sports. So I wanted my series to be able to show how the stress of swimming affects me and many other
The photos I took show my concept, which is that swimming is always on your mind, I photographed it by taking humorous pictures of a swimmer doing everyday things, but with a swim suit, cap, and goggles on. These pictures show people metaphorically how even when swimmers are not in the pool, that swimming is still on their mind and that they are still thinking about swimming. An example is that in one of my photos it shows the swimmer doing homework, but she has all of her swimming equipment on too, which shows that even when she is doing homework, she is not completely focused on it, and that she is constantly focused on swimming. All of the photos in my series show the different parts of people's everyday life, but how when a person is a swimmer, or an athlete in general, their sport is still being thought about. I used eating, driving, sleeping, and cleaning, as examples that also show how the idea of a person doing everyday things just in a swimsuit.athletes.
this is a conceptual photo about human rights!
each human being has equal rights with any other...All people have the right to speak and demand their freedom,as long as they dont hurt anyone other!
The reason that in this photo there are only the eyes unveiled,is because i want to show that we dont only have to see what's happening and never talk...That's why we have a mouth...To talk,to say what we want,to say what bothers us,to express ourselves in a way,to communicate,to ask help...
We must let other people speak,as long as speak!
Respect the human rights, dont trespass them!
We have to use our rights as best as we can and noone has the right to stop us...
