I slowly take root in the bosom of the earth. As everything begins to lose its meaning now, all my senses of awareness, trapped in the dark corridors of my mind, begin to cry out in agony. In this phase of total darkness, I am walking towards the horizon of metaphysics. Now I see, hear and feel. After this stage, am I reading the book or is the book reading me?

Today is celebration day... my Bday :)

This is me, an experiment in conceptual photography. I know it's not the best, but I liked the light/shadow effect and color editing I did.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

"Not everybody trusts paintings, but people believe photographs" - Ansel Adams

This black and white photo is of an original screen-printed poster with an image of Marcel Duchamp holding part of his famous artwork, The Large Glass. Original photo and screen print by British artist Richard Hamilton at his studio in Highgate, London, and now in a collection at the V&A in London. This part of the Large Glass artwork was called the Oculist Witnesses.

Original Duchamp artwork 1915-23, reconstructed by Richard Hamilton 1965, for a Tate Gallery retrospective exhibition and co-signed by Duchamp at the opening in 1966.

The Large Glass is also known as "The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even."

Duchamp and Hamilton were friends, and Hamilton reconstructed The Large Glass because the original had become too fragile to travel.

Visiting the past with this single exposure reflection image which i took over eleven years ago. This is a repost and i guess many of you have not seen it before and a big kudos to any of you who remembered it from before.

It happens to be one of my favorite photographs i have ever taken. A few copies have been sold over the years when i used to have some of my work for sale at a local art gallery. It also won the Mono Visions conceptual photograph of the year in 2017.

Thanks for reading , faves and comments : )
