321/365

For those who know, i do my best to take a picture everyday as a part of the 365 project. A 365 is a project where one just does something everyday for a year, i guess to see where you end up. This year has been extremely difficult and i've tried my best to take one everyday and like anything life can get in the way and even laziness! But that doesn't mean you stop. I've wanted to stop over and over to realise that my life just wouldn't be what it is without what i love most. Please know that feeling lazy or not as passionate at times is normal, and if i'm honest when i feel that way i grab my camera and find the nearest freezing lake or river and take some photo's and jeez does it make me feel alive again. Do what scares you, because after you will feel life i promise you.

With this project I have found so many things to love, such as poetry, music, colours and storytelling. I found out things about myself i never noticed prior and i've learned how to make a story without writing without even meaning to. I never thought for a second i was ever capable of doing much let alone tell stories. I noticed from a young age that i was creative, but i didn't know where to put that energy. I wrote stories again and again but my words could never sum up exactly how i feel or i could never fully describe the place i wanted to submerge myself and others into. But with photography i get to do both. I get to make things real and I couldn't have a deeper more expressive love for anything like i do for storytelling. I'm so thankful for everyone who takes time to look at my work and i am beyond words with how amazing you all are. You are all a massive part of who i am today and where i am in terms of photography and i can't thank you enough.

& Lastly thank you Teagan for being the best model :')

Its a photo montage of four different photos processed with Photoshop CS5. This is based on my conceptual series BEYOND THE HORIZON.

The way we see the world is a reflection of who we are.

You see things as a mystery;

Because you yourself are a mystery.

“Their town was assaulted by the three sister gorgons - Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa - when her mother was on the verge of giving birth. As the monsters tore through buildings and soldiers, her mother's eyes caught the gaze of Euryale, turning her flesh to stone. The monsters rampage eventually ended and her father ran to the side of his statuesque wife. Cursing the gods and the twisted fate they had brought him, he grabbed a smithing hammer and dagger and struck at his pregnant wife's stone belly.

To his dismay and joy, his daughter was still alive, encased not only in a womb of membrane but also rock. He cradled her as she wailed and squirmed, completely unaware of her miraculous existence. Over the next decade the town rebuilt and she blossomed into an exquisite beauty, fair and soft in every way. It was only on the celebration of her 18th year that the ashen blemishes on her face began to appear.

The diabolism that thickened and hardened her mother's blood was transmitted to her in the womb. It lay dormant there for years before finally infiltrating her circulation. Once inside her, it began to finish the work of the gorgon, only much more slowly. As her face became more of a hardened mask, she wore a white veil of fine linen to hide her malady. Known as the "Bride of the Bedrock", she wandered the many gardens of the kingdom in futile hope to detect their perfume.” -M.D. Walter

[day 235]

I know I'm trying very hard learning how to live alone, stay alone, settle the problem all alone but at the end I find it I'm seriously lack of mental support. Love doesn't exist unless you go and chase it.

I love the sky and clouds almost as much as the sea and waves.

Never the same twice, can be dramatic, can be calm.

Pure drama here, a spectacle to enjoy.

Here, in Yorkshire in Autumn, such fantabulous skies!

Have a great day and thank you, M, (*_*)

Nothing really complicated here, just a simple composite. Pretty happy with how it turned out tho.

Primary double shot

For the last couple of years, I've been juggling health issues, financial stress and a lack of direction for where I wanted to go. My life literally froze up but I've been working to thaw it out lately and I assure you guys that you'll be seeing plenty of photos from me in the near future. Hope you enjoy and, as always, I look forward to hearing what people think.

In the beginning... there was wonder, fear and creative envy.

Shot this a few weeks back and forgot to post it. It goes along with with the other studio musician shot that I have. This is the conceptual shot of how his music should sound if take shown through a photo.

Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae.

The fibre is almost pure cellulose. Under natural conditions, the cotton bolls will increase the dispersal of the seeds.

Within 80–100 days after planting, the plant develops white blossoms, which change to a reddish colour.

The fertilised blossoms fall off after a few days and are replaced by small green triangular pods, called bolls, that mature after a period of 55–80 days.

During this period the seeds and their attached hairs develop within the boll, which increases considerably in size.

The seed hair, or cotton fibre, reaching a maximum length of about 6 cm (2.5 inches) in long-fibre varieties, is known as lint.

When ripe, the boll bursts into a white, fluffy ball...
