Mi madre, decía cuando veía las flores, que eso era lo que ha ella le gustaba. Como hoy cumpliría 69 años maravillosos y con la fotografía puedo crear y hacer realidad mis sentimientos, pensamientos y emociones...Hoy le regalo estas flores y me regalo a mi misma esta imagen que significa tanto para mí. Donde quiera que estés...Feliz Cumpleaños mamá!!

Tan etérea, mas tan contundente a la hora del amor
Robando palabras para escribir versos que convocan
Midiendo intenciones.
Adivinando fragmentos de pensamiento
Acudiendo a citas no pactadas.
Derrumbando prejuicios
Solicitando nuevos códigos
Diseñando un camino áspero para transitar sola,
en silencio, hacia una convivencia pacifica
Hacedora de estadios intermedios
Inventora de la razón irrazonable
Creyente de una utopía en vías de creación
Así me presento al mundo: mi espejo y confidente
Segura que mas de una vez la dicha será mi compañera
y que el conjuro hará efecto sobre las sombras que solo,
algunas veces, apenas me rozan.
Solo pido una oportunidad para ser feliz.

In order to gain freedom you have to be able to change your own destiny or nothing will occur. We have to take responsability of who we are and to accept that we are going in the wrong direction. It's also quite contradictory to feel compassion when we are sorrounded by hate and betrayal, it's a hard work to do but it's worthed. Love is the answer and when we better ourselves, we better the world. Although this, I feel frustrated sometimes...

Si verdaderamente buscas la libertad tienes que ser capaz de cambiar tu destino o por el contrario nada ocurrirá. Tenemos que tomar la responsabilidad de quienes somos y darnos cuenta de que estamos mal direccionados. La cárcel está en nuestras cabezas y sólo nosotros mismos podemos liberarnos.... pero la paradoja está en que tenemos que encontrar la paz interior en un ambiente completamente hostil. La rabia y la frustración se me clavan por dentro pero al final lo único que me queda es intentar creer en mi y continuar mi propio camino, incansable...

This is part of a series of images that will be used for my final year dissertation. The subject is conceptual art and photography which includes a written essay as well as a visual final piece.
The images help to portray the types of feelings of anger, confusion and frustration etc. that the subject of conceptual art arouses amongst not only myself, but many others. The essay itself features as part of my photographs, like the essay is the piece of art and use photography to document the idea, just like the conceptualists.
In this image the essay (the conceptual piece of art) is being scraped from a wall.
Materials: Plywood with 'brick like' paper wallpapered to it. Then stuck my essay on the wall...
Equipment: Digital. Camera set on timer.
