IAA Frankfurt 2019
Wey is back at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019, after the brand made its European debut at the previous show in 2017. Wey is Haval/Great Wall's luxury brand. Like the cars of its parent company, they are designed by former BMW SUV designer Pierre Leclercq. Wey was launched at Auto Guangzhou in November 2016 with the W01 and W02, which went into production as VV7 and VV5 respectively. The VV5 has the size of a Audi Q3 or BMW X1 (4.4 metres), while the VV7 is somewhere between BMW X3 and X5 (4.8 meters). The Wey-S Concept previews a new electric compact SUV with 355 PS of maximum power and a range of 400 kilometers.
Let your true colours show.

SHIPtember concept. My last S.H.I.P. was a little outta my comfort zone with curvy stuff so this year I'm looking to return to warm and cozy boilerplate. Something utilitarian, blocky and ugly, bold graphics hopefully.
Currently I've got no idea how to build that negative arc with my orange bricks. Research is needed. Also maybe modeler's clay ;-) The stud count at the top is just a rough guide at this point.
Got 19.5/20 Tutor said:This is stunning ! It is spacious and airy.To be truly unstructured you could have presented the board in a more informal way..Your board is subtly American west coast.

I'm still playing around with my Technic car, which incorporates functional steering, an all-wheel-drivetrain through a four-speed gearbox, and adjustable suspension.
The bonnet, boot hatch, and gull-wing doors all open, but I fear the door roof-sections are way too thin. The car started as a proof-of-concept chassis that I didn't really have a clear idea for, and then sort of evolved into a sports car in vaguely the style of early-2000s Holden Coupes, with bits of other stuff thrown in.
This is a bit better then my last, not sure if I will keep the leg design if I do more on these guys in future sketches. Hope you like! Any requests?
I found the concept art in the upper right corner on the classic space web site a couple of years ago.I dont know who made it, but it inspired me enough to build 3 lego spaceships out of it. First the VS-015 Hornet Ranger (upper left), then the VS-017 Centaur (bottom right) and finally the VS-020 Minotaur (bottom left). That last one is quite close to the drawing. It allowed me to greatly improve my skills and taught me that at these scale (50+ cm long), careful planning and clear overview of what I want to do is really important.
I say thanks to whoever did that concept art.

Week 7 concept: Which is a better option?
when i first came to Ghana, i was blasted with all sorts of options as to which one of these networks were the best, and also how the others were messing their customers up, so i thought i would create a concept depicting that idea and here u have it. Though i am pointing to MTN, i am not a current user of it.

recently a lot of my pictures have been about the differences and interactions between man and nature and i really enjoy using that theme in my images.
This is my entry for the rebrick McLaren design challenge.
The McLaren E1 Concept takes the known McLaren design language to a whole new level. While carrying the “form follows function” approach forward, it also incorporates design cues from Mclaren's rich racing history.
Like McLaren's famous Formula 1 cars the E1 Concept is a single seater high performance car, where the driver sits in the middle like in the legendary F1 road car. This allows the driver to position the car more precisely, while the car itself has a very narrow shape. Viewed form above the car is primarily shaped like a raindrop to allow best possible airflow and a minimal drag coefficient.
The front of the car is inspired by McLaren's current road cars, like the P1 or the 650S. It is wide and low with a round front profile. The headlights are shaped like the Mclaren logo and are attached to the hood as seperate sculptures. This gives the car a much greater road presence. The backwards facing hood scoop allows better airflow and is a homage to the McLaren M6GT road car.
The back of the E1 Concept mimics the look of McLarens Formula 1 cars. The rear wheel cases are separated from the main body. The two floating C-pillars connect them with the cockpit. The car features a massive rear wing, which is inspired by the F1 cars but is seemlessly integrated into the flow of the design architecture. The rear wheel suspension is fully exposed and since the E1 concept is a fully electric car, there is no need for exhaust pipes. The black painted wheels with red rims are another nod to the F1 race cars.
Based on a design concept by Olsen and CXBO-partner Sarah Keenlyside, the Mason Studio designed room can be divided into three areas: front “garden” room with marble tables and booth seating; middle “brasserie” with a long bar, seafood bar and banquettes; and rear “salon.” The timeless 80-seat space is filled with brass finishes, original artwork, and antiques collected by Olsen over the last two years, including the vintage coupes and glasses used for the drinks.
