From the book The Art of The Last Jedi. Don't get me wrong, I really loved the movie. But I do have a few design preferences I would've changed.

Like the bomber: The long tube designs look great, retain both the WW2 vibe and the 70s sci-fi look. The decision to go vertical is fine but it feels like it ended up a compromise, the end shape being a right angle square. A tad too goofy for me. At least keep the wings wide: it offers a larger target and suggests a tightrope walker balancing.

Not sure if this is a ship or a station.

Sidenote: Do any other space peeps here watch SFIA on YouTube? A friend suggested it to me recently and I absolutely love it. Everything to do with science fiction, space theories and future tech. Each episode has gold nuggets of ideas and inspiration for Lego space building :-)

Refined concept for '2nd Phase' period. mag-100.com

From the book The Art of The Last Jedi. I don't recall getting a good look at DJ's ship in the movie which is a shame-the design looks pretty cool. A cocktail of Lotus Espirit, a Thunderfighter and Maximillion from Disney's Black Hole. It would make a neat Lego set or model kit but you know, it's only ever more X-Wings and TIE fighters, for ever and ever, lol.

It is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. - Frederick Douglass

It has been my experience that we grow the most during these storms as it were.

Just some random gun concepts all based around a similar platform and motifs.

An old transport used as a trader's ship, something that would fit into the Star Wars Outer Rim planets maybe.

Concept art done for Installation 01, a Halo fan game. These were revealed in our new media page on our recently revealed website installation01.org/media

FIANLLY! Let's see how close I get to the my concept art. Still toying with the idea of using yellow (with chromed fangs) but black is going to be kinder with parts selection. Names is either Blasphemy or Hag Titan currently.

Space superiority fighter designation ORCA. Weapons: gimbal mounted particle beam emitter for point defense, 8x medium-yield nuclear missiles plus mission-variable twin hard points. Propulsion is provided by an ion drive requiring substantial heat dissipation. The design of the ship offers a small and narrow frontal cross-section. Roundel features on either flank of the ship are classified and their function is not currently know. The chin houses six canisters of countermeasures. Pilots of these vessels undergo extensive genetic modifications to enable them to pilot craft in both zero and extremely high Gs.

My entry for the Starfighter 200+ contest. The initial design was a really simple, hard-edged rectangle with the alternating black/white graphic shapes. It looked a little boring so I'd add extra volume and embellishments only to regret that it started losing it's bold outlines and simplicity. After see-sawing back and forth a few times I finally settled on this iteration; a little bit of both. Heavily inspired by weapon design in games such as Destiny. And this blog.

Finally started watching The Expanse season 2 over the weekend so of course this happened while I should be SHIPtembering. I dunno if these designs fit into Expense style but they're some hard-surface boilerplate comfort zone distraction :-) Cargo are mounted at the nose and a ventral weapons hardpoint for mission-variable load outs.

At least keep the wings wide: it offers a larger target and suggests a tightrope walker balancing.

I really want to see an Outrigger-inspired fighter in a Star Wars movie. But flatter and more angular. That would rock!

I really regret that I can not engage my favorite hobby more than I want.

I like to create.
