Atari 1040 ST

A Sony VAIO Netbook, model VPCX113KG, for my daughter to use at school.

my ten key! oh ten key, how i love you.

I had almost this exact computer when I was a freshman in college. Only I didn't have the color monitor. Now that was fancy!

Finally all the parts have been assembled to make this work. Beneath the cluttered radio desk, under the two speakers just visible bottom center, is a Digital Alpha Personal Workstation 433au. It is running the OpenVMS operating system. Both terminals on the desk are connected to it. On the right is a VT220 acting as the operator's console. On the left, a monitor and keyboard acting as a graphical X terminal. Behind the viewer and facing the other way are two Linux systems that can also act either as text based or graphical terminals if desired. It's all working, and performance is quite good.

I transferred music I own to the EEEPC using a SD Card. The small speakers are tinny sounding but OK considering their tiny size. Headphones sound great. SMPLayer or Music Manager on the EEEPC plays the WMA music files fine. World clock in the background.

My Computer Desk in my Apartment up at School. (Almost) Everything I need to get stuff done and have a little fun at the same time. (Taken with my Camera Phone so it's a little blurry.)

It was a pleasure to type on.

the new MacBook Pro (that's the best name they could come up with?)

Computers are essential for the editing process of the digital story. Computers should have photo editing, video editing, and audio editing software installed.

Another day relaxing.

Really, we're not just relaxing, but also working hard at the computer station.

On an old keyboard at the Salem News

Proper computer. Don't make them like that anymore!

this picture kind of reminds me of EPCOT in the whole futuristic section. you know... where the big golf ball is? well, at first glance, it looks so crisp and clean. typical new-age (almost futuristic looking) technology. but if you look closer, its a filthy mess. all of the corners packed with disgustingness that the workers just sweep behind in the mornings since they're too lazy.this picture goes right along with their laziness, quite proudly.if you look closely, my ipod has a food smudge on the screen, the keys are kind of dirty, and the screen of the laptop is filthy... this whole mess was, of course, my fault for deciding to "myspace" right after lunch. savvy?

My old desk at SSAT. (The equation taped on the monitor is mathematical description of the encryption function of the Enigma machine.)

This is a Micron branded keyboard made by NMB in Thailand that I rescued from the trash in 2000 when one of my roommates was going to throw it out. It had dried spots of soda, milk, and peanut butter(!) inside the guts. It worked fine after I dismantled and cleaned it.

That mystery key over the carriage return is the pipe key. Both shift keys are full size.

The famous fish game! The teachers in the English room loved it - for a while anyway. The woman at the screen is Ling; she was a real down-to-earth person!

Neither has ever been used and were still in plastic wrap. Look at that high-tech mouse!
