Skye is quite the budding photographer and photo editor. After she takes her pictures with her camera I upload them to the computer. She edits them in Picasa all by herself. I help her upload them to Flickr (although she could probably do that herself), then she adds the title, description and tags.

This is my second laptop, a Dell Inspiron 6400, purchased in June of 2007. It's a great improvement over my previous laptop, and I'm very happy with it.

A number of awesome things are happening in this photo.

On top of the monitor here, you see a stuffed, toon mouse (sort of a computer joke), a beanbag-critter called "Crashly the y2K Bug," and a beanbag-critter shaped like a computer.

Throw the "Y2K Bug" against a surface, and you hear the digitized sound of glass breaking. Throw the little computer against a surface, and you hear either the glass-breaking sound, or a voice saying "Bye-bye files!" :D

Next to the monitor, there, is a bunch of old magazine-folders containing old Writer's Digest magazines from back in the 1990s or so, with some old software manuals on top of that.

Looking for the chipmunk trap and found my old laptop, so to speak, covered in dust and cat vomitus. A PC-4501 with an 80186 processor (7.16 MHz, though you could slow it down in the BIOS, if that was too fast for you.) Lead acid battery, two 3.5" drives, CGA graphics.

I remember playing SimCity on this puppy.

Still boots.

Since I have made so many great friends through Flickr I wonder if this will help Kita and the temple cat make friends?

I have a lot of work to do today, so I'll be seeing a lot of THIS. :(

not a nice thing to do to someone who has just finished that loooong assignment. Luckily none of us have quite reached that point these 3 weeks

We have LAN parties a lot at my friend's house. I whipped out my camera and decided to make pictures.

That would be a spoon and coffee creamers for scale. She's a tiny Linux wonder!

Windows laptop only there for occasional Powertab use. I'm not weird or anything ;)

By photographing only half of my desk, I leave it to you to imagine what unspeakable horrors might be happening on the other half.
