I bought one of these bins when I used to live in Colorado and it worked very well. I left it there when I moved but I would definitely get one again next time I buy a compost bin.
Made what I call "compost salad" to add to the bin... Cleared out the fridge and fruit bowl of old produce.
One of my resolutions this year was to help my compost to decay faster and have scissors by my small kitchen bin. When I canned the pineapple, I IMMEDIATELY cut up the skins and leaves.

I made this piece for the wlyb (e)motive exhibition 2010. It is made from piles of identical recycled postcards that I put in the compost bin for 6 months.
compostables are nestled between two layers of netting. items break down over time and feed plants at base. I'm guessing that I could eventually put plants into the fence!

Made from 100% recycled Polypropylene plastic. This composter narrows towards the top. It has a lid but no bottom, and it has access gates on all four sides. Some assembly is required - the four sides and the lid ship unassembled.
I am currently in residence at the Andes Sprouts Society artist's program in Stamford, New York. the goal of my residency is to combine science, art, and sustainable farming. I am working with compost worms to learn the movement, interactions, and ecology of this amazing animals. As an artist in residence I am creating paintings in collaboration with the worms. This detail, from a picture that is 11x14 inches, is an example of the work. I hope you enjoy it.
