Fort Smith photographer, Karl Johnston, under a sky that is impossible to describe (without doing it injustice). Karl was a runner-up in the 2009 Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition. I followed in 2010.

that my 3 Phalaenopsis orchid plants are forming buds.... I've had them all since 2015 and after not blooming for a year, now they bloom each year!!
I haven't used this Soft Focus Optic is a very long time, they don't even make it any more... it's not at all like the newer lensbabies... you have to insert the aperture ring manually and remove it with a magnet that comes with the kit.
Mikis Theodorakis (1925–2021) was a renowned Greek composer, politician, and activist, best known for his iconic film scores, including Zorba the Greek (1964). Born on the island of Chios, he was deeply involved in Greece's political struggles, fighting in the Resistance during World War II and later opposing the military junta (1967–1974). His music blended classical, folk, and contemporary styles, often inspired by Greek poetry. Imprisoned and exiled for his political beliefs, he became a symbol of resistance and democracy. His vast body of work includes symphonies, operas, oratorios, and popular songs, making him a cultural icon in Greece and beyond.
This man was one of the smartest and most brave men, and no other was able to express all the feelings, fear, sorrow and also the beautiful moments in a humans life in songs, like he did. I wanted to share this, to keep his memory alive.
Music flows from Willem Vermandere like bright fresh sparkling water from a mountain spring. It bubbles up as he sits and composes a new piece, lost for a moment in the notes tumbling from his clarinet. I always feel privileged to witness Willem at work creating beautiful music with his mind, fingers and the air in his lungs, on his favourite clarinet.

Conceptual shot taken at Lake Lavon once more. My friend brought along a red frame, and I once again utilized the balloons I had purchased. I’m not sure exactly what my message is with this shot. I just wanted to make something that stood out.
Photoshop CS2 RAW edits with additional color tweaks and a good deal of masking.
