Above are a few photographs I snapped of the completed custom wedding job I recently designed. I am very happy with the final product and I have learned a LOT of lessons along the way. They were all packed and delivered to their owners yesterday morning who have been so fantastic and open to all ideas (no bride-zillas here). Things can go back to normal and a tidy up is in order in my studio now that all the production is over. I was starting to worry the neighbours a little - one of them even pulled my partner aside to ask what was going on and whether I had started some kind of factory in the garage...

Upon completion of a 10 week Certificate II leadership and personal development course through Aboriginal Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC) 12 local indigenous youth travelled to Central Australia in June / July 2016.
The trip was undertaken to assist them to learn about the value and role of traditional culture and value and to reconnect with identity, culture and spiritual practices.
On their return the leadership group will use their new skills and understanding to influence and teach their peers through peer development, Youth Week and Reconciliation Week activities. They will also develop a short DVDE of their personal journey which will be used by schools and youth centres as a resource for other young people.
The leadership team will work with Queanbeyan-Palerang Regaional Council's Aboriginal Community Liaison and Projects Officer to create an innovative new Reconciliation Week program, with activities tailored for all school ages.
