I made this for my daughter who was born in 1978. It was going to be the center of a pillow (to go with Roots and Wings), but I never got that far.

Students in the Infrastructure Academy M+I Core program are recognized during a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at Austin Community College’s Riverside Campus lecture hall. ACC faculty, staff, employers and families attended to celebrate the graduates, many of whom have been or will be hired upon completion.
Upon completion of a 10 week Certificate II leadership and personal development course through Aboriginal Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC) 12 local indigenous youth travelled to Central Australia in June / July 2016.
The trip was undertaken to assist them to learn about the value and role of traditional culture and value and to reconnect with identity, culture and spiritual practices.
On their return the leadership group will use their new skills and understanding to influence and teach their peers through peer development, Youth Week and Reconciliation Week activities. They will also develop a short DVDE of their personal journey which will be used by schools and youth centres as a resource for other young people.
The leadership team will work with Queanbeyan-Palerang Regaional Council's Aboriginal Community Liaison and Projects Officer to create an innovative new Reconciliation Week program, with activities tailored for all school ages.

Getting closer to completion now but the really good thing is that the oven is in place which was always my biggest nightmare - not sure I could've afforded the cost of lifting it over the house!! Steps are started and the slabbing is now two thirds done although there will be loads of cuts and the water feature is in! So - slowly slowly getting there but it is beginning to look like the dream that it was!!
