BLYTHE COMPARISON. Leopard Sass, White Magic Afternoon, Time After Alice & Yezenia´s Dream. (Hybrid of Zyanya Remembers x Jillian’s Dream)

Ever wonder how the 1/6 male bodies stack up against each other. Check out my blog for some comparison shots.

- Top: 22" Round2 Eagle (pre-built);

- Middle: 22" AB Eagle;

- Bottom: Sixteen/12 die-cast 23" Eagle.

Just looking at the difference between offical and moc. Definatley need to do some mods to bring the offical up to level I think.

I only had PN Small and Medium bodies for a long while...then became curious and bought an XS that I have ended up really liking a lot!!! Now my curiosity extended to the 1/12 Picco Neemo S size...how CUTE is this little body!?! Although I have no idea what head it will get, and the feet are SO small!!

I shot this earlier with the Voigtlander Ultron 28mm lens. Later I'll shoot it once more with the Q2 Monochrom for comparison.

I decided to make a direct comparison between the two versions of Silas, because I think he reshelled incredibly well. xD On the left is Silas the MiniFee dreaming Marcia from 2009, and on the right is Silas the Delf Woosoo of today. :D

Hello,

I don't usually do stuff like this, I'm not one to engage in anything that may cause drama.. but it's come to my attention that some people seem to think that my dolls are completely Photoshopped and that kind of upsets me, so I thought I'd post this comparison.

LEFT PHOTO

The left photo I edited a bit to show a proper comparison.

Here is what I did:

It is brightened the same amount as the photo on the right in Lightroom (the whole photo, not the doll. I like to take my photos very dark and then brighten them in an attempt to keep as much detail as possible). This is what the right photo looked like before.

The eyeballs are brightened and shine is added (just the inserted glass eyeball itself, nothing else), this is for a better comparison.

RIGHT PHOTO (FINAL RESULT)

On the right photo, the background looks slightly different because I played with the distortion of the photo, this is so the doll sat better in the frame and so the focus was more on Ritsu rather than the surroundings. This time I added a few more upper eyelashes because I ran out of nice ones then I added the Photoshop actions for nice light.

So yeah, most of my editing is lighting, not the doll itself.

Have a nice day.

Feisty Snowy Egret on the left, and Little Blue Heron Juvenile.

Just a side by side comparison of Kelvin Low's ZVRF09 with the PALASO.

Comparison between my standard black (left) and Black 2.0 (right). Not as dark as it was advertised to be, but extremely matte, which is useful.

This is just a quick comparison between the original MOC from three years ago and the updated version. The original was never posted and wasn't even finished.

Many Westerns (especially females) have longer bills than this one and some juveniles have a bit brighter plumage, both of which would make the contrast between the two species a bit more distinct.

The left image taken with GoPro 11 night mode @ 30 seconds with iso 400 is a jpeg. The right is the same image post-processed from a raw file. Jpeg auto conversion does an okay job but if possible, always take a raw image for a more realistic capture.

I think we all sometimes feel like we are the seedling planted among the giant redwoods. My wife's vibrant grandmother used to often use the phrase "Comparisons Odious" to describe certain situations. I eventually became curious enough about the saying to look it up. It basically means that comparisons are hateful and destructive.

I find myself often thinking of and repeating this oh so true mantra when I start to compare myself and my accomplishments, or lack of, to those around me. We will never grow taller by tearing down those who are closer to the clouds than we... we have to create our growth rings at our own pace and elect to be happy in our own circumstances and struggles.

Everyone's good at something.

Even Withdoll, though I haven't figured out what it is yet.

Conclusions: If I had to pick a body with both looks and posability I'd go with Narae, even though her knees aren't the best. If I had to go on posing alone, I'd pick the DoC because she can do anything and everything.

My Wife's Grandmother (Dorothy Wolz), a beautiful soul and an English teacher, used this phrase often with her children. Although I agree that comparisons can be hateful, in this case comparing the size of this adult Burrowing Owl and its freshly caught Deer Mouse perfectly illustrates the scale and the small size of a Burrowing Owl.

I've been doing some body swapping and thought some people might find this comparison photo helpful.

From left to right: 1. Pure Neemo XS Girl; 2. Obitsu 22cm; 3. Pure Neemo Emotion Small; 4. Pure Neemo Boy Small; 5. Pure Neemo Girl Small

Along the front and all to scale:

Quadstar, White Hawk, Wraith interceptor, Zero Tolerance GARC racer.

The minifigure scale Quadstar is at the back so you can get an idea of what the others might be like at minifigure scale. I take this micro to mini ratio to be around 1:4.

I haven't included the Linopeia class transport or the Jade Sun as they're around 1:8 and 1:50 respectively by my estimation.

Capital ships might have to be quite big. I'll have to see what I can get away with but I want to try and make all my future micro's for AG at this 1:4 scale for story-telling compatibility.

A male Honycreeper signs to a female. The background is not the best since I don't really go for spotty backgrounds, but the behaviors of the birds made this photo too good to pass on it just because of the BG.

What you see here is a segment from an illustration by Henry Holiday to The Hunting of the Snark and a portrait of Mary Throckmorton Lady Scudamor by Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger. Here Holiday's creativity and playing with zoomorphism gave life to a skarf. There is more:

285    But the Butcher turned nervous, and dressed himself fine,

286        With yellow kid gloves and a ruff--

287    Said he felt it exactly like going to dine,

288        Which the Bellman declared was all "stuff."

Literary reference in pictures is what you expect from an illustration to a poem. The colouring of the gloves I added to Henry Holiday's illustration (image on the left side) based on Lewis Carroll's poem. The Beaver's color I just guessed ;-)

Holiday could not use colour. But he could refer to a painting where yellow gloves caught the attention of the beholder. This is a pictorial reference. I don't know, what came first: Carroll's text or Holiday's idea to take reference to Gheeraert's painting. It is known, that the Dodgson (Carroll) and Holiday mutually inspired each other when they were working on their Snark project.

Henry Holiday made most of his arts business with quite customer friendly stained glass windows. That was honest craftsmanship. (Some of the windows I also like.) But something must have been boiling in him: When illustrating Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of the Snark, he allowed himself to go a bit crazy. He hid his "graphical quotes" from other artists well; yet he was not a plagiarist, as he left clear and detectable traces. The result of his Snark work are beautiful conundrums and witty graphical puns.

Another edit comparison! The lights in my living room make Gremory so greeeeen D:

Maybe it speaks for itself, but here's what I did:

- Brightened the photo using screen

- Used a light greyish blue on soft light to correct colors

- Increased saturation

- Used the stamp tool to add shinies in his right eye >___> I love these gem pupils but I hate it when one is more shiny than the other XD

Thought I'd post a picture of the Lego Model and the real thing, (extra points if you get it right)
