Overcast. Hand held pocket size miniature-compact camera was set on manual macro mode. Best viewed on Large (1024 x 754) format.

First attempt at water drops on a CD/DVD. Used my extension tubes for some and just dedicated macro for others. The colors you get from a CD and DVD are totally different so try both. Lots of fun on a rainy day.

25 - Sep - 2015:

I took a shot of the moon again tonight. Normally I would use my DSLR and 600mm lens with maybe a 1.4 or 2 times converter, or both.

For a change I shot this on my compact camera. The camera was steadied against the top of my back gate.

Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.

The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs, tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!

Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.

Anyway, enjoy and please let me know what you think.

Waste-to-Energy

DPS and partner company (Ethos's) compact waste-to-energy technology is based on staged and separated pyrolysis, gasification and high temperature oxidisation.

The unit is capable of destroying many different types of waste (with no pre-treatment), with the option of additional heat recovery, whilst producing only ash and a controlled amount of gas (with low emissions). The technology is designed for continous operation with very little downtime.

The ST150 is a compact unit (small footprint and minimal noise) which is able to process between 80-150 kg/hr of waste and offers significant savings on energy and waste disposal costs and therefore a broad range of potential applications.
